In his defense, I have never played it, but my dormmate has. I thought the music was annoying and the gameplay looked like it trying really hard to be cool and creative and "so zany and different". But I watched as he was playing the final levels and a lot of his replays and I came to wanting to buy it myself, except it was pretty much useless then.

And even if you ran into some of the most horrific example of undertale fans, then you're still judging the entire fanbase based on the worst it has to offer, and on a factor that can't be controlled by anyone else in the group. I just look at fan-bases like a spectrum. The closer you get to either side of a spectrum in ANYTHING, Religion, Politics, Fan-bases, the worse it gets. So I just sit here in the middle liking what I like and ignoring what I don't.

I've never played the game before, and from what I've seen its very good with mixed humour and deep themes.

90% of the people who hate the game make assumptions from the very (over)excitable fanbase(myself included) rather than playing the game and forming opinions of their own. Sometimes the opinions are justified but if people refrained from spouting diatribe about something they have never done then maybe everyone would get on a little better. And even if people dont like it they dont need to abuse it, just move on, find the stuff they do like.
Sames goes for games like Just cause and Fallout. I've never really found them interesting but i wont talk **** about them because some people do enjoy it and that's fine too, i'm not gonna complain about the amount of Fallout 4 content because i know that a lot of our little funnyjunk family does like the fallout stuff.
