Creepy? Yes, but do we realize the full extent of what is going on? This is Flowey's theme, or at least most of it. Every where he goes this is the music that is playing. Why? Because Flowey is on a Genocide run of his own.
From ominous to overly upbeat. Such a difference. I haven't really wanted to play Undertale due to the over-attention it is getting, but I may be interested in it now.
The soundtrack is definitely a high point. Toby Fox sort of recycles a lot of stuff for the music so you can slow down or speed up certain songs to get other ones.
If you do choose to play it, DON'T look up anything about it. And skip FJ posts about undertale because this is a game that is really best enjoyed blind, and with multiple playthroughs. Just pay attention to dialogue because it's of great import 90% of the time.
I would recommend it. The fans are out of hand, but that happens for pretty much everything these days. Avoid them, play the game, and have a good time with it. Its worth the time, very earthboundy.
They're not complaining that the track was reused, they're focusing on which track in particular was used. The main antagonist's theme, slowed down for genocide run.
1) Did you play it? You can't understand anything unless you experience it... If your literature professor assigned you to write about the Great Gatsby and you didn't read the book, you'd probably fail that assignment.
2) The game kinda relies on your ability to empathize for a lot of its art. If you don't have at least a mild understanding after playing it, then you have some gears missing upstairs.
