Help me out Funnyjunk; Do turtles make good pets? I was considering a turtle, an ackie moniter, or a boa python. Something that won't mind sitting on my desk or on me. Bonus if they dont crap a lot.

katytrippy (12/19/2012) [-] Ive had both a turtle and a snake. The snake was easy to take care of, i had him when i was about 7. Turtles are harder to take care of in my opinion and they smell really bad. But they are cute and fun to watch, and a lot less scary to let walk around your house.

Well that motherfuckin turtle got out one day, and it just left. Like "peace, niggas, I'm out!"
He parents got a phone call about a month ago from some lady who found that muthafucka. Found that muthafucka SEVEN YEARS LATER AND SIX MILES FROM WHERE THEY USED TO LIVE.
She tracked the family down based on their old house's phone number.
That turtle must have been running for SEVEN STRAIGHT YEARS to get six miles away. That's some Shawshank Redemption shit right there.
This was their reaction when my buddy finally saw it again.
