but... I don't think the native tribes would use the current border system, I mean, wouldn't they use natural borders such as mountain chains or rivers?

It was divided into the great nations. People like to think about Natives like they all just lived in the forest and **** but they had cities and roads and highways and political factions and borders just like today.

The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere dropped 20% when Native Americans died off because of all the trees growing back. Taking over what used to be cities.
