Deep down, It's basically a manly soap opera, a lot of people immediately see a show about zombies and expect it to be ''Left 4 Dead, the televised series'' then go fucking ballistic when less than 50 people die within the first 10 minutes. I personally like the more ''realistic'' approach both the comics and the TV show take to the Zombie Apocalypse concept, people aren't running around mowing down hordes of undead for shits and giggles, they're just trying to stay alive.

The season finales are always fucking awesome though.

Most people don't, no. Too many people assume someone just decided to make a show about zombies since there's obviously a large market for it, then get disappointed because not enough happens in the first few episodes =/

Yeah, I can image that it's kindof hard, filling 4 season with nothing but Zombie killing, on a TV budget too.

The show isn't about zombies, it's about how people react to loss and tragedy. And there's nothing better to cause it than zombies.

except if zombies weren't in it people wouldn't watch it, so usually we want more survivor vs zombie conflict than survivor sorting out their own conflict

EXACTLY. I like the show but i don't watch it much because it's mostly just drama and people arguing than actual survival and zombies.
