The wage gap is illogical for a simple reason: If employers could legitimately get away with paying women a lower wage for the same job, then they would just hire all women because they would be saving more money.

Even that filthy liberal lying site Mother Jones discredits the "wage gap" idea. They won't outright admit it, because it doesn't fit their agenda, but I found this peach yesterday on their site.

Bitches think the world is forcing ladies to earn less pay than men and they're trying to be snarky about it and this person is telling them that there is obviously no wage gap whatsoever

On a similar note, there isn't a racial wage gap either. Salary correlates strongly to education, and Asians, representing one of the smallest minorities in the US, are a major chink in this argument because they earn the most of any race. Culture and family also play major roles.

Maybe females would get paid more if they didn't take "Female Empowerment" courses in college.

Feminism maintains that women are being paid less for the same work, citing a study that shows women earn 77 cents on the dollar compared to men. That number anything other than total money earned yearly (not hourly wages, hours worked, time employed at position, variance in danger and field of employment, etc). When you compensate for those other factors the "wage gap" is like 2%.

The wage gap is a myth, the feminist is getting mad that economists (the people who know the most about it) maintain that it is a myth while her twisted ideology says it's a thing.

This is probably gonna sound bad but I'm just speaking from my 20 years of existence. I think it's kinda fair to at least start off with attractive women earning a little less, and then seeing where it goes. Let me explain. ALMOST every attractive girl I work with in school seriously has it ten times easier than anyone else, guy or unattractive girl. Anytime they come into the tiniest road block, time to ask a guy for help! I seriously watch girls get away with letting guys do all the work for them. Granted, men share the blame in this for allowing it to continue, but as an employer after seeing what I've seen if an attractive women applies for a job, she unfortunately would really have to prove to me that the minute she has trouble with something she's not going to immediately ask a male co worker to "help" her with it. I'm not saying attractive women are stupid, obviously far from it, but they can definitely get away with doing much less than their male counterparts.

I can see where you're coming from on this, but collectivist thought like that is the precursor to hating large groups of people over biological realities they did not choose. Always judge an individual on their actions, never on the actions of others that happen to share a biological characteristic with them. This is why when you are hiring you should always check people's references, to get some idea of how they will act as an individual prior to tossing them in.

If women make less money then why don't companies hire only women?

Basically if all the worlds best economists are telling you there is no wage gap between men and women, then they're all sexist pigs there is no wage gap.

One of the reason there's a wage gap between women and men is because men tend to be the one working in trades. such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, etc. there's a high demand for trades, they're high paying jobs, and mostly men are in the industry. You don't often hear a woman talking about " **** those idiots who built this house put in 6 AWG green through the WHOLE house so I don't know which wires are hot, neutral, grounds, or leads."
it's not discrimination, it's the fact that women find these labor intensive jobs beneath them.

wage gap definitely exists in ****** retail jobs. i make more than all my female coworkers with the same title. some have been there 3 years longer than me
User avatar #30 to #29 - noblexfenrir (09/03/2014) [-]
Generally this exists because men more often than not go in with higher price expectations and ask for it. Also men can do more heavy lifting and other menial tasks, so they are given higher wages because they can do more of the work.

I don't know about your specific circumstances ofcourse but this is how it is in my experience.
#71 - xxxsonic fanxxx (09/03/2014) [+] (1 reply)
yeah. theres no wage gap between men and woman as long as the woman doesnt have children which ya know they kinda are biologically meant to do. And people seem to ignore the fact that even if the gap is small the whole point is there should be no gap. If a feminazi has the same qualifications and is as good for a job than me she should get paid the same amount. Or am I just a slightly drunk sleep deprived dick?

The issue here is once again with misrepresentation by feminists to push for biased legislation. The differential is 2%, which is mostly due to the few jobs women take where they can't lift certain heavy objects that male employees in the same position can, and that it is a tertiary concern to those positions. It is illegal to pay substandard wages to someone based on race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, etc in the USA.

How exactly does feminism affect the wage cap?
User avatar #23 to #12 - teranin ONLINE (09/03/2014) [-]
feminists push the narrative of it's existence to gain biased, non-gender neutral legislation like Lilly Ledbetter
