Feminists are raiding Wikipedia?
******* hell they're a sick bunch these days.

>inb4 feminists are mostly good and these are just extremists

Face it, these feminists think they're the good ones and so do the ones about to comment about how these are the extremists and they're the really good ones.

The last 60 years of feminists were the extremists, they just get stupider every generation.

Sooooo it's been shown that the real enemy of women is other women as they put each other down.

How about we ignore the feminists, leave them to themselves and watch them all go crazy at each other?

Not sure how well this will go over but here goes: I am a woman. I am not as physically strong as the average adult man, even if I move more furniture than said man (mother works at a LaZBoy.) I am not as emotionally reserved as the average man. I have a published novel about a failed romance and a raging STD epidemic, so that speaks for itself. And yes, when I go out I do carry a can of mace and I have taken self defense classes.

...I honestly don't understand the sheer hatred these "feminists" have towards men. I am a complete type A personality, Alpha, go getter, RED on the color scheme of social tendencies, the whole 9: My dream in 5 years is to have a husband to greet at the door wearing nothing but heels (with my Masters hanging on the wall behind me, mind you, lol). I love the idea of being a wife and mom. I love the idea of being the "good woman behind every great man" and I love the idea that every time I will "be in the kitchen" cooking for my bf/husband/family, I get to show my love by providing for them. I love the idea of being more than he can handle when the doors are closed. But I also love the notion of pursuing my degree, having my career, and striving for my own goals.

Why is it that even to a feminist I am seen as "bowing to the patriarchy?" in all this? I can't answer. My only hope is that you all know that just like every guy on FJ isn't a "neck-beard brony" that not all women are these nut jobs.

Fin.

This is an extremely hilarious and insightful post.
It is unfortunate thing that has occurred. The way I see it is, there is nothing wrong with feminism at all ( I am male). I believe we should ensure that we provide equal rights to both females and males. (I am thought not much of a fan of affirmative action as itself can discriminate either sex).
Before I get distracted and go off on a larger tangent. When it comes down to it... the problem is that individuals who are Misandrist; think they are Feminist. We are at a critical stage in our world where I believe that we need to learn from our past , apply the fixes to the policies and then move on.
This is also how I feel about tumbler, where in they are attempting to guilt/ put other people down because they don't share physical or mental qualities ( the different gender categories). There are only certain things in life we have control of, I am 5,5 stocky build (friend jokes with me and calls me koodo because I look similar to the character for the advertisement). The whole overuse of ptsd and ocd and the agument of "if you dont agree with w.e I say you are oppressing me". I have ocd, I can not emphasis the frustration i get over it. I once missed a critical flight because I lost a necklace my late uncle gave me and when I stress out my personal ocd (of three's).
Change what you can, accept what you can't, is something I hope is not lost to most. Hopefully as a group/community we can make it a better place.

Some may vote this down as they might feel I am attacking their personal beliefs, but I hope they see the other side of the coin, there are points in life where you have to face reality.

thyroid issue + healthy eating = you may not look in shape (abs, muscular definition) but you are healthy.
What annoys me are people who eat extremely unhealthy and then say, not my fault thyroid issue...

few bad apples can easily rot the whole barrel.

Thin Privilege is having your body type appreciated at Christmas
Christmas is my favorite time of year. One of my favorite things about the holiday is that Santa Claus is one of the few fat-positive characters in popular culture. He’s strong and gentle and kind and loves children and is FAT!!

Well, I was listening to a friend’s iPod, and a song called “Sexy Santa” by a band called Steel Panther came on. The lyrics were so incredibly traumatizing I’m having trouble typing straight. Right out of the gate, the singer yells “Santa’s getting ripped and he’s lost some weight/he’s on a low-carb diet and he’s looking great.” Other choice lyrics include “More cushion for the pushin’ don’t apply to him now/he looks hot but he used to be a big fat cow”—as though being fat is incompatible with being hot! Somehow this song manages to erase the fat identity of Santa Claus, one of the few fat characters not denigrated in general in our fatphobic culture, while also erasing fat people’s sexuality: as though fat people aren’t hot and sexually desirable.

Thin privilege is not having your favorite holiday undermined by ubiquitous fatphobia. Thin privilege is not having your sexuality erased by fatphobic musicians.

What if we only listen to the feminists that actually believe in equality and don't listen to the extremists who think men should die or we just listen to the equalists who actually want people to be equal
User avatar #77 to #72 - lyiat ONLINE (08/14/2014) [-]
Because 'feminists' who want everyone to have equal rights are not feminists, they are egalitarians. Feminism is a women's right's movement, nothing more. But, hey, keep drinking that kool-aid, buddy. I'm sure they'll take the arsenic out at some point.

Jesus Christ Funnyjunk is only feminism bashing anymore. Every time I come on this ******* site everyone is posting takedowns of ******** , anecdotal encounters they never had with feminists and getting pissed off at what they imagined feminists would say. I don't even care one way or the other on the issue, but move the **** on.
