Hey guys, I am 16, and weigh 48kg and I am 5'6.
My legs aren't skinny, but my upper body is. My hand is all bone's.
I have been trying to gain weight so I can join a sports club or martial arts club...but 2 years and I just don't get fat...what the fuck do I do?
I always play football(soccer) and I can't run for too long...I also want to learn Kendo or Kyudo but I am weak as hell...I am the weakest of all friends (physically) and even the girls can kick my ass with no problem.

Does anyone here have similar problems? Thanks in advance :l

Just start any martial art that you want , and your body itself will start to develop chemicals and muscles to adapt to your new routine.

so...

step 1 - sign up to something
step 2- get pumped while doing said activity
step 3- fuck bitches
step 4- get paid

You need to make sure your calorie intake is a lot higher than it is currently, I have the same problem, I need to take in atleast 3600 calories a day to keep up with working out 5 days a week for 2hrs. Theres an equation to figure out exactly on how to do it but simply putting it make sure you're always full. Make sure the food you eat is actual food not junk, mcdonalds doesn't count. So stick to homecooked meals and always get seconds. Hope I helped.

That sounds like the situation i was in before i started taekwondo last year. I was extremely weak, i could'nt do a single push up, and jogging became a nightmare after just 2 minutes. What i recommend, is that you should get started with the sport you wanna do and keep working for it. It sure worked for me. Its been 1 1/2 year now, and iv'e become so much stronger and bearable. I can even do the split now!

Even though the hard work seem to be everlasting, and the results seems small, remember that the difference will be huge some time, if you keep working for it. Just be patient, and put some heart in to it.

And you should listen to those other guys about the food, as well. But seriously, dont let your body stop you from doing something your interested in. Just go for it, and the developement will come eventually.

Eat plenty of proten, milk, meat etc. But also, have a relatively large load of carbs (not candy). You're an ectomorph, you have a very high metabolism, and your body feeds heavily on carbs and protein for immediate energy. If you want to maintain that protein (you do), then eat carbs too, so your body can digest them while saving protein for use in the muscles.

Take up working out. Sign up for a gym, or do bodyweights if you are unable to pay. Work out at least a few times a week. I won't go in-depth on workouts here, so do some research, and go for bulking workouts, not strength, so probably something high volume (high # of sets, mid/high reps, and low weight) rather than small sets of high weight.

And concerning the guy below who says that you should masturbate before working out: while it is good to have extra testosterone, it's also true that you have lowered testosterone for a short period after orgasm before your levels return to normal, so that's not my recommended level.

Also, keep your feet warm/wear socks while you sleep, it makes you big (no joke).

You join a martial arts club and then you'll get muscly and shit. I don't have a clue how muscles or proteins work, but this worked for me, and I'm sure it will for you.

Also, try to eat like a pig and then go do pushups.

"lift weights" ...really?
#78 to #37 - anonymous (05/09/2013) [-]
yes lifting weights is how to get bigger. No matter how much weight you can do yourself.

gotta start somewhere, if you start doing activities that require more muscle, you will build muscle and gain weight. Also, your body will begin to store more calories due to expecting to burn more of it from working out
