This was some of the most ******** in that anime
Why is it that in a game centred around teamwork and everyone that doesn't work in a team gets slaughtered, but kirito that refuses to work in a team is OP.

That and everyone of the girls falling for him.
He's just a loser playing games all day.

It's not really ******** since he was on a lower floor and had an ability equipped to heal 600hp every 10 seconds.

But because of playing games all day, he got poon.

you dont get anime do you?

Kirito was OP because like you said, he's a loser who plays games all day.
It's even mentioned how he was a beta tester of the game, remembering and probably even going so far as to writing down and memorizing that **** .
He essentially uses that advantage to know where the good farm is, when it respawns, what average level he should be and so forth.

The thing about the girls falling for him is just part that puts it in the "harem" genre, which is how I found it originally.

Yes I know that but is op powers go beyond that. It ended up being a " If i believe in my self I break the game" just so he wouldn't die and it happened twice. Also the website i go to it wasn't labeled a harem and even if it was it was filled with useless stereotypical female characters. And even the harem genre is pretty unrealistic and annoying (Kirito is literally a guy who plays games all day and doesn't even look that stunning.) The romance was bland and pathetic. It ended up being a "hey i just met you, and this is crazy, but lets get married, and have a baby" When they are pretty much 16 . Even before the first half it was **** . Yes it was a very pretty anime and overall it OK or even less that that. It's just terribly overrated *spoilers* Another thing is that when that chick who died in the trap dungeon I felt no emotions at all which is rare because I'm usually the one to cry.

I agree with the chick dying part, there wasn't enough time given to establish a good relationship between the two (I admit though, when I saw that he got a message from her later I did feel a bit **** , but only momentarily)

The website I was on described it as a Harem, and a thing I have always loved about harem was the fact that they left things unresolved and made me feel empty (which is when I feel the closest to the idea behind "being an average human" something which has fascinated me for a long time)

Yeah, it's essentially a sappy Disney Movie put into the art style of Anime and uses the Online Gaming World as its setting. The "If I believe in myself I break the game" can be interpreted in many ways, to me, it essentially shows the power of a hacker, and the damage he can do. It can also be interpreted that the game was so long in development that it can give buffs (both positive and negative) to characters based on their current emotions in game, whilst I like my hacker idea better, I find that the buff idea is the more sensible one out of the two.

He wasn't a hacker though. he was just a really good movie. And the whole buff thing has no real ground. It sounds like wishful thinking rather then fact. You say its an interpretation when its really just something you made up to cover up a flaw. I dislike the harem genre for the sheer stupidity and unrealistic scenarios. most have that includes sword art online.

He wasn't an alpha tester, he just said that the other beta testers were nothing compared to him
