Can anyone give me a legitimate reason why smoking pot is so "cool", excluding medicinal purposes. Most people on this site seem to have the mindset that smoking pot is a must do, why? Apart from costing money and time what is the purpose, to look cool? I don't get it.

The few times I did it was just to relax. And the nights I went to sleep like that it was cool. But I don't do it anymore, looking for a job and all that I don't want to hinder my chances.

I've never smoked pot to look cool I don't care about that. Its fun it's kinda like getting drunk it's just fun to do not for all people but, for some.

It´s not a must do.It´s fun.Well,sometimes.I won´t ever be able to understand those who smoke everyday,but I enjoy it sometimes,maybe once a month and it´s kinda fun.I can´t even describe it properly,it´s just kind of a good feeling...Never really met anyone who saw it as a "must do" as you described it,though...oO

I thought it'd be fun, and it was, but it's not worth the hassle, or the cost. Plus, my girlfriend doesn't like pot or smokers.

It's about personal freedom for me. Not being the "cool kid." Although I've never smoked pot, I believe in everyone's right to personal freedom. But smoking pot isn't to look cool. For some people, it helps them concentrate, for others it helps them sleep, and some people just like the feeling of being high.
