Just watched it yesterday, watched that part about 5 times for the lol's

Every time Chris Hemsworth's character did something un-Thor-like, I would yell at my tv, "Go home Thor, you're drunk."

The point of the movie was to make fun of other horror, buttcunt. I loved the movie just because it was fucking funny.

the whole premise of the movie was funny in general. That's just my opinion though, so whatevah. It's not worth debating.

It had it's funny parts, but the premise seemed more stupid than funny to me. Still, can't beat shaggy basically being invincible because he's high I guess. Seriously though, the only reason he didn't die was because he was high. Weed saves lives man.

So basically the climax was the only funny part of the movie. That's not satire.

The only redeeming factor was shaggy as I affectionately called him throughout the entire movie. But it wasn't enough. The plot just wasn't put together well enough to work. Sorry if you feel different.

How would you have made it better?

I thought it was awesome. Managed to mock all the "serious" horrors with out going over the top like scary movie and being bad ass at the same time. I watched the vi of them making all the monsters too, that was impressive.

Original doesn't make it fantastic. And besides, the movie even explains that they weren't being themselves and that it was like their personalities did go flat, but it's not like we ever actually met the real characters so how the hell would we know that without them telling us? The only person who continued to be himself was shaggy (since I can't remember his name, I'm calling him shaggy an yes that's a scooby doo reference) and that was because he was high. I'm not saying it was fucking awful but it needed work. The ending, contrary to what many said, I felt did okay, but it's the beginning that needs it. It was an alright concept to spin off a horror-origin story that could have been made great if properly executed but the plot just was not laid out correctly and it ruined it for me.

I happen to be an expert on plot and it did just fine. You weren't supposed to know what was going on until the end. You were suppose to be thinking "What the hell am I watching?" and yet actually continue watching because it was interesting. The writers pulled it off perfectly. A weird movie for sure, but all original concepts take heavy criticism before they catch on, if they catch on.

I thought it was awesome the first time. But then I saw it again and it was boring.

That was my experience except I thought it was boring the first time I saw it.

I knew absolutely nothing about the movie, so I wasn't expecting any of that stuff to happen.

Same thing here. It just still managed to bore me. Guess that's just how it is.

I understand you weren't supposed to know everything until the end, this is a common way moves help build suspense and curiosity, but they literally gave you nothing. They even made it difficult to guess what was going on at first. the only reason I even finished the fucking movie was because I was tired after work and the remote was across the room. I found little interest and it was overall forgettable.

yeah just a bit. it could have done without the giant hand. but i really loved when the jockey dude crashed his dirt bike. i never laughed so hard in my life.

Well the entire point of the giant hand was to destroy any possibility of a sequel, because having one too many sequels is another horror movie cliche that they decided to break in the movie. The world ended...like bam...world gone...all humanity sacrificed...the big evil actually got away with it...

I agree. I know it had some places that could have been touched up on, but it was a really cool movie.

I disagree but we all have opinions. Seriously though it was advertised as horror and whatever the fuck it turned out to be wasn't even close. It was an interesting idea, but at least advertise it correctly because it only left me confused as to what the fuck was happening up until half way through.

I thought the movie was great, and if they wanted to they could make a tv show out of it with each of the other horrors in the glass boxes. It wouldn't be terribly original but possibly a lot of fun to see.
