That sounds suspiciously like a hostile alien species that spreads through the cosmos, draining worlds of their resources in order to feed its' ever-growing ranks. You know, the type of thing you should be killing with fire, bullets, more fire, artillery and a nice helping of fire. Not something you'd make a kids' show about. Or, at least, I still haven't seen "Goa'uld Time", "The Amazing World of Borg" or "My Gym Partner's a Tyranid".
CANT STOP THE GEMLING TRAIN! WHOO WHOO!!!! Seriously though be careful if you look up gemling stories. They can be cute as hell, but some are just ****** up.
So, we know Amethyst is an overcooked gem. What happens when they are under cooked? Are they cracked, defective (possible explanation for why pearl is defective) or are they stuck as gem kids if you don't suck up everything; who might have to try and absorb things themselves in order to grow?
i have a question, how was the first game made? also was she once a baby? also does she still exist? also did steven sucked all thats good out of rose to emerge? on 2nd thought i want to retract my last question
well see the first game was never a baby, it was old computer equipment turned into a game called tennis for two. it helped pave the road for many games in the future. without there would be no call of duty.
The first gems are only speculation, possibly intervention from another alien species, evolution under different circumstances, byproducts of some ancient technology left running, we don't know.
Probably not
The gems are functionally immortal, from what we've seen so it's likely that the first gem is still around.
And the process that allowed Steven to be born was less... sucking out, and more a mix of biological and gem processes.
It's thought that Rose mimiced a human's birthing process, so Steven was conceived in a normal manner, but her gem was passed on to his body. Likely because her 'body' offered difficulties in birthing a child.
Pls go easy on me if this is wrong, I tried my best
My vote's still on the theory that the gems were originally created to be servants of another race, but were then subsequently abandoned such a long time ago that most knowledge of said race was lost, but not the knowledge of how to use the machines from the Kindergarten to make more gems.
