I knew it. I ******* knew it. Peridot and her racist little ass betrays Steven and his friends. But we got some Yellow Diamond action going on, which is nice.
wait a minute, peridot fighting the gems, but also riding with lion. im conlifcted. and im also sad. they could of gone with full character development on bringing her to the good side and they are gonna puss out and just shoot her back over to evil.
The riding on Lion probably comes before.
Peridot will see the Diamond as a sign Yellow Diamond is going to rescue her, of course she'll revert back to her default. It's really all she knows and understands.
Most of what she's been doing with the Gems has been for her own preservation. I've no doibt she'll see the error of her ways and try to make amends.
I'm hoping they'll stretch it out a little bit. Several episodes. Whether it's Steven or Amethyst who'll bring her back to the good guys remains to be seen.
im still gonna be pissed of about it if they actually make her evil again. they had the chance to add someone new to the team. they started giving her more character development and they just **** it away by making her evil again.
That said, she was always 'evil'
The only reason she is working with the Crystal Clods is to save her own skin, because she cannot get off planet by herself / without their help. Otherwise she would've happily ditched them first notice.
Sure she has warmed up to Steven and Amy a little, though thats because Amy is a warrior like Jasper was and so she feels a little connection there; that in homeworld's society shes the "proper" gem that Peridot needs to keep on good terms with.
but she basically called yellow diamond a basic bitch to her face and told her earth is worth protecting. thats gotta mean something right? i put in a spoiler because not everyone has seen the new episode tonight
And I mean at this point it may make some sense. I mean, she's getting better but her first priority is very much still very much not dying. And it's a very real possibility that she'd view being picked up by Homeworld as a much better bet than aiding the Crystal Gems in destroying the Cluster.
and thats what makes me the most sad, there was a chance. but theres also a different very rare chance. she may be seen as a traitor by homeworld for providing any aid to the crystal gems. but evil peridot is mostlikely gonna happen
Worst possible outcome incoming: The crystal gems clear up the whole "Cluster" issue off-screen and immediately segue into the "Yellow Diamond" arc which starts off with Peridot's betrayal just as Steven and the Crystal Gems start to trust her.
I don't believe that will be the case, but what's the old saying, "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst." ?
Don't think that will be it. When Peridot is throwing stuff in her robot Steven, Garnet and Pearl are riding in something. I'm betting that's the gemdrill. They'll be proceeding with the plan and Peridot is trying to stop them because she thinks Yellow Diamond is coming and she wants to be rescued and not get into more trouble for helping ruin the giant gem experiment 5000 years in the making.
That episode didn't actually feature his birthday, just his attempts at birthdays for the gems.
I might be able to accept him turning 13, but (for some reason) I find it hard to believe he's been 13 this whole time.
There was no mention of his birthday in episode 1. There was just the mention that the gems has bought all the Cookie Cats because they knew he loved them.
Oh, no. I double checked. They were looking through Amethysts room for the source of some horrendous smell. Found a five year old fish taco. Steven gets to talking about their ages after he finds an old portrait and learns they never had a birthday. The whole episode was about birthdays for the Gems. Steven mentions a lot of stuff he's done on his birthdays but his actual birthday isn't mentioned.
From my guess, Steven accidentally offended Peridot somehow(probably by saying he doesn't like trump), then she threw a rage fit. Gems are more tolerant of violence since their protective bodies just poof when suffering too much damage, then can regenerate back. It's sortof like a bruise; it's reversible damage.
Note how Pearl is reminding steven not to feel so horrible, he probably said something on accident.
Holy **** this promo is all over the place! it goes from "You can feel horrible somewhere else!" to "ITS STEVENS BIRTHDAY!" like what, why am i so miffed about this.
