till) Can somebody tell me why this is so populair? i dont
get it., whats so funny about this?
2" r - Frou whats funny about it is its so
unexpected and jarring we' re used to seeing
stormtroopers just being cannon fodder to be
cut down by Lightsabers and pinpoint accurate
rebel blaster fire while stand in one
spot missing all there shots. then this ballsy
************ tosses his blaster and shield to
the ground bellows out traitor then goes baton
to lightsaber with a jedi without so much as a
second thought pulling off crazy ass karate
moves sends him honest to god *************
flying and almost kicks his ass. thats why its
hilarious its like a goomba pulling out a
goddamn minigun and shredding the living ****
out of Mario.

I think it was confirmed that TR8R is actually Fin's old squad member.
Like, he was the boss of the squad, he was in the top 1% of all storm troopers. They would've made him an officer if it wasnt for the fact that he cared too much about his squadmates.
Basically there was 4 of them, Fin, who had no nickname because he was "an outsider" and therefore never really fitted with the rest, Zero, Nine and Slip.
Slip was named Slip because he kept slipping up and Fin had to cover for him.
The stormtrooper that dies and leaves a mark on his mask is actually slip, it made him decide he wanted out real ******* fast because his old squad mate that he tried so hard to save and help died on his first mission.

So basically, TR8R is really ******* pissed at Fin and I am guessing that Fin feels like defeating him makes him a little less of a stormtrooper.

But I haven't read the book yet and I might have some stuff wrong.

its not confirmed that Finn isnt force sensitive. in fact i really want him to be one. only thing i can really base even a hope one was that kylo ren in the beginning senses something is up and looks right over at finn. maybe he sensed the light side? hopefully

Even if he is force sensitive he's still not a jedi. that just mean that he would've had the potential to become a jedi had he been scouted by the jedi order while he was a child.

honestly I have no idea what they do with Force sensitive people that they find who are already adults, all I know is that they really didn't want to train 9 year old Anakin because he was 'to old' and the jedi aren't considered jedi till after they go through basic training, apprentice under another jedi for a few years, then undergo some sort of trials and tribulations to be officially recognized as a Jedi knight.

To be fair though, I've only watched episode 1 and 2 + 2 episodes of the clone wars cartoon + picked up a bit of info here and there from star wars comps.

all that nonsense about the process to become a jedi is swept under the rug after the empire takes over. luke is a jedi from the start and once trained is a fully realized jedi. Finn could still be a jedi but is not as naturally powerful as Rey who is (in theory) lukes daughter

There is also the fact, if I remember right, that the troopers are not clones like they were before, crazy commander/general dude said he didn't want a clone army that his troops were good enough

well there is a scene in the new book I think, where Han and Leia and Han's black "wife" and some other jobbers are just able to use lightsabers because.

Fin could be force sensitive since he could wield the lightsaber without immediate self dismemberment and held his own for awhile as he fought Kylo Ren.

Finn is also trained in hand-to-hand and melee combat like every other First Order trooper, because riots are a thing, and vibroblades are even easier to come by than blasters in Star Wars, just never shown in the movies because it would be far more difficult to produce the props and choreograph a sword-fight (excluding lightsabers, which were just handles with a reference point for the blade to be added onto) than a massive firefight.
