I may be stupid, but I fail to see how Disney's acquisition of LucasArts absolutely has to be a bad thing. Star Wars is already family-friendly, Disney is already quite skilled at making badass family-friendly films (a la PotC), and Disney will either keep Lucas under their thumb or out altogether, which will prevent him from fucking things up with his usual power trips. Worst case scenario: nobody knows what the hell they're doing first time around, and Disney makes a horrid turd of a movie. Disney realizes they've sunk too much money in this project to let it go to waste, and they make the 8th and 9th films fucking awesome. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but I don't think this project is entirely doomed.
