Mars already has an atmosphere, the problem is that it's all CO2. We hope to turn some of that to oxygen over time by introducing plant life.

Yes, but the point of terraforming is to make the planet life-friendly, so it has to have an Atmosphere, as in the unit.

well that would be the ideal case, but you can survive on slightly less pression take the example of poeple who live in montains

I don't know about all those people that live on montains. My friend died on a montain.

Mountains though, yeah, less gravity.
