What if?

I encountered someone saying "The Divines are up there" or something similar, and I looked up and saw the well "moon"

What if it really isn't a moon but another planet? And the Divines live up there and came down to Tamriel to give guidence but nobody could understand their message except the Dwemer.

And the Dwemer made a rocket ship and went there and are still alive and not in a different "realm"

What if the Daedras are also up there, and when you go through the oblivion gates it's actually a teleporter to that planet?

Just thinking x)

In elder scrolls lore, The Nine Divines were Daedric Princes who participated in the creation of Nirn, thus becoming one with their Oblivion planes. This participation gave them the name of Aedra by high elves.

two side things
1. Planes of Oblivion and Planets are the same thing.
2. The Dwemer abandoned worship of gods and instead used logic and reasoning to figure out the natural world.

But the Dwemer didn't, like, just go home one day and never come back out. They literally vanished. All of them. Everywhere.

Okay, so you guys seriously have to hear this.

Since you are the dragon born, you are the incarnation of Talos, aka Tiber Septim.

As the Dragonborn, you have the divine right to rule the empire as of being from the Septim line and being dragonborn. Why isn't the next Elder Scrolls game you taking over the empire as the Dragonborn, fighting a war with the Aldmeri Dominion, and ruling all of tamriel?

This reminds me of that Temple quest in Morrowind, "Pilgrimage of Vivec" or something like that where the you have to pray at different shrines to Vivec all around the southern part of Vvardenfell. One shrine gives you the power of levitation for like 30 minutes or so (I actually don't know how long since I was using Silt Striders a lot after I completed the quest). Anyway you find out that at the shrine, Vivec stopped a "celestial body" from crashing into the Temple, and if you look up THERE IS IT just floating there without any supports! It's crazy but cool

Later, when vivec disappears, that moon comes down, retaining its same momentum. Vivec City is now a crater

Best side is genocide(I killed a lot of races based on certain members who pissed me off, namely all High Elves and Argonians).

Both the Aedra and the Daedra are planets in the system.
User avatar #79 - thebestpieever (06/23/2013) [-]
What if you are wrong? The Aedra and the Daedra are a binary system, meaning that they are both real and have the same power. Aedra created the world and are bound to it. That right there tells you that in can't be on another planet. The Daedra do not live in another planed, but rather another plain, if it was a planet they would say planet. The existence of other planes is confirmed by your travel to Sovngarde at the end of the main storyline. Plus, different daedric lords rule over different planes, they do not share one. Come on, even people who just played skyrim like you can easily see that this is wrong.

The Divines make up Nirn, the very earth you walk upon, they are the Earthbones.
The stars are made by the other Aedra following Magnus back to Mundus and tearing holes in the sky.

Here's what I think happened to the Dwemer: (spoilers, by the way, if you care) I think, based on what happened to Arniel and on what happened inside the Black Star to Malyn Varen(which I'm only using as a reference to show that living people may be trapped in soul gems), I think that Arniel managed to trap himself in the soul gem that he struck with Keening, and that the Dwemer similarly trapped themselves inside the Heart of Lorkhan, which I have come to think is a very large, complex soul gem.

Well, to be honest, Oblivion is made up of different planes (or planets, they are one in the same in the Elder Scrolls universe.) and the Aedra aren't all on Masser, which is the clestial object seen in the picture. That is Masser and the other moon seen from Nirn is Secunda and these are "Lorkharn's sundred halves" according to the creation myth of how Nirn was created. I'll give you a few links, because there is way to much info to type on here.

You obviously didn't play Morrowind, and started to explore the lore after the bastard game...
