The scrap metal can me smelted into dwemer ingots, and the gyros can be used in the Atronach Forge in the Midden under the Collage of winterhold. I don't know many good mixes though. Otherwise, they are quite useless I think. Way too heavy to be worth selling...

Oh, shit sorry! Went down to the atronach forge now (inspired by this conversation) and realized it's not the gyros but the dynamo cores that you use there! The gyros are in that case, and to the best of my knowledge useless. My bad.

If you have level 100 smithing you can choose a perk that lets you create dragonplate or dragonscale armor, which OP is wearing in the pictures. Some people consider daedric armor to be the best, others dragon armor, I'm sure there's reasons for both sides. Either way unless you have level 100 smithing just sell them until you get your skill up. Dragons pop up all the time even after you beat the main questline so you'll always have an opportunity to get more.

Daedric is literally just better than dragonplate. It weighs less and has a higher armor rating.

But it requires the blood sacrifice of a Daedra Heart to forge, making it inherently evil equipment. If you're playing as a light-side character, Dragon Armor makes more sense (not to mention that the Difference in armor rating between the two is marginal.)

The only way Dragonplate is better is flavorwise, and insofar as it is very difficult to actually find Daedra hearts. But ignoring that, Daedric is better.

you don't keep the crown after you finish the quest, although idk if you can pickpocket to get it back, never tried. same with the skeleton key, I hear once you finish the quest, you can't get it back

Smithing is actually a pretty easy skill to master, just stock up on plenty of leather, strips, and iron ingots/ore. Then make a ton of iron daggers or leather bracers(what I chose). You can sell them back for a little money back, or save them to later boost enchanting skill. Selling the enchanted daggers also gets you alot more return, which also boosts speech. Win, win, win

Words of advice: Buy all of the iron, and iron ore. Then make iron daggers. A shit ton of iron daggers. Fastest way to level up smithing. My redgaurd is lvl 15, but he has lvl 100 smithing.
