You guys might enjoy this, a guy said he liked the Aldmeri Dominion on Elder Scrolls Discussion and this was a response from some dude.

"So you(OP) is interested in having reality being destroyed? Because that's what the Thalmor High Council plan to do, the one thing in Skyrim they need is the Snow Tower. When they find it and its power source they will destroy it. Once the snow tower falls, the Thalmor will have completed their goal of unraveling reality. Mundus, Aetherius, and Oblivion will be one again. What the the Thalmor wish to accomplish by doing this is to undo to the ultimate "Trick" enacted by The God Lorkhan in the Eyes of the Aldmer*: The Creation of Mundus, Oblivion, and the seperation of Aetherius from them.

*Aldmer(Not to be confused with Altmer) : These are the direct descendants of Auriel. They are the race in which all races of Mer are descended from. Also known as the first Elven race in Mundus."
Had a little bit to do with this at least, and the Psijic Order is pretty trustworthy, yes they were founded by the the summerset elves but the order rarely sees them honorable enough to even give them advice, and btw they were the ones that warned you about the eye in the first place.

I just read up on it, and from what i can tell the Altmer aren't all pricks.
Some, like the Thalmor, think that if they destroy Nirn and mankind; they become immortal.
But others like the Psijic Order are cool about being mortal and all.
So, i think indeed we can trust the Psijic Order. I think after they take The Eye Of Magnus, they do their best to make shure the Thalmor won't get their hand on it.
And besides, The Throat of the World is not the very last tower. There are possibly atleast three left.

The Psijic's are followers of the old god's, the Thalmor worship the Eight Divines. If anything, the Psijic's will be more likely to seek the end of the world, as the see it as blasphemous to worship any but the first.

The jar thing is ******** , the symbols on the jars are supposed to be crude diagrams of the insects

Now a few things to disproove this.
The Aldimeri dominion existed twice.
The first time after the death of the last
member of the Cyrodill fammily before
Tiber Septim made his apperance, and the
second after the oblivion crysis.
The thalmor are only a fraction that appeared just in
the nick of time to ''save smummerset'' from the oblivion
crysis. The problem there is that they were probably
involved with the mithic dawn cult, as they used
''dawn magic'' to restore the moon wich ensured
them the loyalty of the kajeet. the isle of arteum and the
psijic order were on the other hand absent for almost 400 years
trying to evade thalmor controll and trying to put an end to their scheemes.
the psijic are taught in the elder way --- simmilar to magic but more like god-like
abillities. as far as the war goes - even if the empire quelled the rebelion they
are still easy targets for invaders as the redguard, the argonians or even the akaviri wich i guess to be the next big plotline.

I thought the high elves didn't restore the moon, just took credit for it?

Those "strange symbols" on the jars are actual Germanic/Nordic runes and can be interpreted as whole words or just letters.
They may just be a detail of the universe and mean the initials of the fictional owner or maker of the object or a religious/magic incantation or spell as was usual in the society Skyrim is modeled after.

In conclusion, I don't think OP is right about the runes. If they mean something important at all, I don't think it's correctly displayed in that post.

The Eye of Magnus is a different matter, OP could be spot on with that.
However, keep in mind that the Psijic Order's intervention was the thing preventing the Thalmor from getting their hands on the Eye of Magnus, which means they obviously are at odds with the Thalmor and if this whole Tower thing is true, they may not become friends but at least allies as they clearly have still have plans for Mundus and need the Thalmor defeated as much as the Races of Man do.

And another thing... I played the Stormcloaks on every one of my characters because the Imperials are bad in Skyrim, whereas the Stormcloaks are good, just racist. But I made an imperial for the sake of doing the Imperial Legion quest line, a character I don't consider "canon" in my game play. Which means that the stormcloaks won and the imperials won, say this new DLC theory about the Thalmor comes to life, how will it play out? If I do the imperial quest line basically Tamriel is done? And if I play the Stormcloaks it's all good?

It's funny because; if random people on the internet can figure this **** out, how the **** do some of Skyrim's smartest people (probably smarter then literally any human on Earth) not see this?

They don't have access to the hive mind that is the internet.

the psijicks have broken off from the summerset isles. when the altmer began worshiping the elven deities the elders were disgusted and completely severed there own part of the isles

actually the letters on the lids of the bug jars point to each other. they letters are just initials of the place they point to someone made a video on it I don't remember what the video is called but I know a guy from roosterteeth did it I think it was ray and if you don't know roosterteeth is then you'll find them pretty easy with google or youtube

Just thought of this (and yes i did just post on your other post): what about the Adamantine Tower; which is considered to be the oldest built structure on Mundus? Wouldn't that count as a tower as well? Maybe a future quest to save that too?
#35 - mr skeltal (12/19/2012) [-]
The plains of Nirn existed before the White-Gold Tower was erected. It cannot have been essential in Nirn's survival, that Dragonborn book simply records the conquest of the Aldmeri Dominion.

I don't see the logic in this, so either this is just one of those "I'm gonna search for logic, so I'm eventually going to find my own" or I just can't see it

how do you translate symbols if you don't know where they're from?
