MFW I have 4 over lvl30 characters and I still have not completed main quest.
User avatar #63 - gvgeri (02/14/2012) [-]
But it sure was disapointing.

"Oh, hey, saved the world did you? Good for you!"
User avatar #62 - therealredhood (02/14/2012) [-]
You've only played Fallout 3 and New Vegas, have you? Anyone who's played Oblivion or any previous Elder Scrolls games know that the game continues after you beat the main quest. You dense moron.

**anonymous rolled a random image posted in comment #1103 at WHEN DID THIS!? ** Holy shit!!! You mean like every other game in the Elder Scrolls series??? Also, if you bought "Broken Steel" for Fallout 3, you could play after the main quest in that too. You have to be either 8 years old or you have never played any other Elder Scrolls game.
#56 - fuckrepost (02/14/2012) [-]
I like to get the main quest out of the way for Fallout 3 and New Vegas but when I couldn't do the side quests...
#54 - kakashin (02/14/2012) [-]
That's why I hate the ending of Fallout: New Vegas. I thought I could finish the main quest and go do whatever the fuck I liked, but no! I trapped inside that fucking camp!
User avatar #47 - moowaffle (02/14/2012) [-]
stupid fuckstick you can play after the main quests are done in oblivion
#39 - curvedswords (02/14/2012) [-]
That's it? This is frontpage worthy? Have you even played Oblivion or Morrowind?
User avatar #40 to #39 - drmcbadger (02/14/2012) [-]
Yes I have and after each of them, you couldn't keep playing after the main quest. Hence the purpose of this.
User avatar #50 to #40 - auesis (02/14/2012) [-]
Wow, you're fucking stupid. You can play as much as you want after the end of Oblivion. THAT'S WHY YOU GET THE IMPERIAL DRAGON ARMOR AT THE END OF THE MAIN QUEST. A REWARD, FOR YOU TO USE ELSEWHERE! The exact same for Morrowind, you just do whatever you want.

You either haven't played them, or your brain disintegrated half way through and you're seeing things.
#41 to #40 - curvedswords (02/14/2012) [-]
Enough with the lies. Who says you couldn't? You could not in Fallout 3 without DLC but that's a different series.
User avatar #42 to #41 - drmcbadger (02/14/2012) [-]
Have you beaten Oblivion or Morrowind?
#43 to #42 - curvedswords (02/14/2012) [-]
I have beaten Oblivion. It's clear you haven't. You even know what the Main Quest is?
User avatar #44 to #43 - drmcbadger (02/14/2012) [-]
You gotta close all the oblivion gates. Mehrune Dagon comes at the end. Martin Septim sacrifices himself to save the Imperial City. The game ends after that. Which means you can't keep playing after that. Unless you go to another save. Good try though.
User avatar #68 to #44 - ajperry (02/15/2012) [-]
You are retarded.
#48 to #44 - felttipwizard (02/14/2012) [-]
You can keep playing after that you fucking moron, they put a big statue of you in a city and you get that stupid brown armour. (imperial dragon armour or some shit)
#45 to #44 - curvedswords (02/14/2012) [-]
Again with the lies. Play it again if you have to. You don't have to keep defending yourdelf. It's okay to make mistakes.
#66 to #61 - curvedswords (02/14/2012) [-]
Were we arguing? I'm sorry.

Curvedswords is right, after that part you can still continue, you get a special blades armor in 2 weeks and the game just continues.

I have put more than 75 hours into this game, i beat the main story early on and i have completed the companions, the thieves guild, the dark brotherhood, the college of winterhold, loads of side quests, daedra quests and more. Skyrim is beginning to bore me now and i'm scared of the time i will have done everything there is to do...
User avatar #69 to #31 - christhemushroom (02/17/2012) [-]
Wait for the DLC. Meanwhile, play some other games.
I sold Skyrim before I finished everything and now I'm regretting it. There's rumors about a ton of DLC coming out (of stuff that should already have been in the game, of course). Stuff like dragon mounts, spears, you can become a Master Vampire and fly around, etc.
User avatar #36 to #31 - brokendownpm (02/14/2012) [-]
Same here man... It honestly feels a little shorter then oblivion but maybe that's just me. Well i'm waiting for some good modders to come along and fire up my old save!
#35 to #31 - anonymous (02/14/2012) [-]
Word. I've done all that, except the main story. I've been working on collecting all my dragon shouts, but I haven't actually played in maybe a month. :/
#24 - anonymous (02/14/2012) [-]
one does not simply
finish skyrim
by just completing dragon story
#22 - holyblood (02/14/2012) [-]
cant complete the game because of bugs...
User avatar #23 to #22 - grantika ONLINE (02/14/2012) [-]
There are mods and console commands that can fix bugs, Oh wait, consoleLamar Smith?
User avatar #25 to #23 - holyblood (02/14/2012) [-]
yea i have the console which the game really was made for, xbox360.. u jelly?

User avatar #29 to #25 - grantika ONLINE (02/14/2012) [-]
And if my game gets a glitch, I can fix it in a few minutes with the developer's console.
User avatar #28 to #25 - grantika ONLINE (02/14/2012) [-]
Not at all. I was offered a free one and denied it. I don't want or like consoles.
User avatar #26 to #25 - cirblu (02/14/2012) [-]
Pc can still get better then console. Mods, commands, steam workshop and depending on your pc better performance.
User avatar #27 to #26 - grantika ONLINE (02/14/2012) [-]
Yes I know that, I was mocking him for having a console.
User avatar #30 to #27 - holyblood (02/14/2012) [-]

One does not Simply mock

Skyrim
User avatar #32 to #30 - grantika ONLINE (02/14/2012) [-]
Wasn't mocking skyrim. TES is my favorite game series. I was mocking consoles.
#33 to #32 - holyblood (02/14/2012) [-]
Because Skyrim, was made for Xbox 360... skyrim = xbox 360.
by mocking xbox 360, you will be mocking skyrim!

You criminal SCUM!

just kidding dude, here have some boobs
User avatar #34 to #33 - grantika ONLINE (02/14/2012) [-]
If skyrim was made for xbox 360, they would have just converted it to PC use, but they added a developers console.

>finish main quest in less then 8 hours

User avatar #49 to #17 - dannehj (02/14/2012) [-]
I did everything possible. I stopped playing before the final string of missions because I've heard the ending is bad... and I don't want my love (so far) of the game to go away.
User avatar #51 to #49 - bosskiss (02/14/2012) [-]
is it worth exploring? are there still a lot of unfound dungeons, cities i can overtake?
also the city with the giant mutant do the mutants respawn?
User avatar #52 to #51 - dannehj (02/14/2012) [-]
Not too much. There's reruns of the story dungeons, some collecting, but nothing major. It is rather disappointing.

That's called Freeplay...
Freeplay games are awesome, they are my favorite kind, that's why i've been fan of bethesda for quite some time, because of oblivion and the fallout series.

You'd think they would've learned from Fallout 3, I mean they even released DLC to allow you to continue after the ending after so many complaints.
#60 to #19 - anonymous (02/14/2012) [-]
That's because they let Obsidian take control of most of New Vegas, and Obsidian hates gamers and likes huge cocks in the ass.
User avatar #20 to #19 - SonofChuck (02/14/2012) [-]
Actually I heard about why you can't continue New Vegas and I think it makes sense, basically they said that after you beat the game everything in New Vegas changes no matter who you end up helping right? Well because those changes are so drastic it would mean that they'd have to recreate the entire game. Anyway that's what I heard and I think it makes sense. That being said it would have been cool to if we were able to continue playing. Hopefully we'll be able to do so in the next Fallout game.
#38 to #20 - zulloz (02/14/2012) [-]
I don't know if it will be possible because as you said, what the lone traveler does changes the whole world, like fallout 3, where you purify the water, it would definitely change the world and it would be a pain in the ass to change the whole world, and why change, if the world is already awesome?
< Pic related, fallout players

Which story line do you consider to be the main quest line...because there seam to be several quest chains that could fit the "main quest" quest chain.
#11 to #3 - thizzled (02/14/2012) [-]
red toenail clippings are from butthurt nerds.

anyway, main one is either helping the blades defeat alduin

- and -

the retaking of skyrim either for the imperials or stormcloaks.
User avatar #67 to #11 - brutusantony (02/14/2012) [-]
i agree...both those seem like the could be considered the main story line..

#8 to #1 - rogersmith (02/14/2012) [-]
it isnt a large part of the game, all the miscellaneous quests and dungeons is were most of the gameplay is at.
User avatar #5 to #1 - enjoythesilence (02/13/2012) [-]
Took me over 150 hours to beat the main quest. I took my time with the game, enjoying all of the hard work that went into it instead of rushing through it. I treated as more of an experience than a game.
