If you look very closely, you can see a large, but subtle dragon, which adds irony to the kajit's statement about his perception skills. This makes the joke funny, because If he were as perceptive as he claimed to be, he would most likely have noticed the dragon behind him.

I found it's helpful to print out the picture in both regular and negative colors. The negative colors help your eye focus on things that you wouldn't normally see, like that thing in the back that looks sort of like a smallish lizard-type animal. You can thank me later.
