Don't really see how it relates to the psp all that much. Being that shield is an android device that can also stream steam games from your PC. Even then, PSPs problem was that Sony was shit when it came to supporting it and it lost all its third party support because of that. I doubt this would run into the same problems as the PSP, being that it will support any Steam game that Nvidia chooses to optimize, as well as any Android game that runs on 4.0. Shield can't really be compared to anything (closest would probably be the Xperia Play), because there simply hasn't been much like it.

Android means it'll need games to either be redesigned or completely designed to run on the handheld os.... which means... you'll basically get the same games you can get on a cell phone.

Okay, before you start arguing, please read up on the system. I never said anything about porting pc games. The games are run using your PC, and you play them on the handheld. AKA, Skyrim is available on Steam, Bethesda doesn't have to port anything for you to be able to play it on the Shield. And yes, the android part will allow it to play android games, which are smart phone games. However, there are plenty of games on the android market that have controller functionality (GTA, FF3, etc), meaning that it would give you an easier way to play games that normally have to use on-screen controls.

So basically it streams your game via wifi on a built in controller? Thats been around forever. However it'll have to be streamed at a low compression ratio. I've done streaming games before on my bluetooth enabled phone with a ps3 controller.
