I prefer the crossbow to regular bows. Thoughts?

Has higher damage and ignores armor, pretty much better than bows. The only drawback is the loading time but that doesn't matter cause it usually oneshots everything.

You have to buy the Dawnguard DLC and then join the Dawnguard

A true hunter uses a bow.

Also, higher damage and the feeling of satisfaction when you headshot them.

I prefer crossbows because they can be locked in place. Having to restring the bow every time when deliberating/lining up a shot is not very practical.

Crossbows have the potential for more power and less error. But gavinchase is right; bows are more challenging which is cool

I've been using a bow since I was 5. While using a crossbow is essentially more accurate and a whole lot less dependent on the shooters skill, I prefer the challenge and rewarding feeling of a bow.

I don't get to go out and shoot regularly but I am actually pretty good at it naturally. first time I used a bow I hit the target dead center at about 20 feet or so. I was about 5. something about it in my hands feels right. Better than any rifle. though a pistol feels good in my hands too

I shoot competition, ranging from a small target a just 25+ yards or so to a bigger target at 100+ yards. I'm not so cocky that I'm going to say I always get a good score, but I get a pretty damn decent one.

i like it because i use it for weaker long range enemies and the exploding bolts help. I mostly use the blade of woe and mehrunes razor in battle

Oh okay, we are talking about Skyrim.
In Skyrim I still prefer the bow because I always take the role of a hunter/thief and a bow is a perfect weapon for the role.

Oh in real life i've never effectively used a cossbow. You were using a bow when you were five?

Yeah. It's not like I'm saying I was good at the age of 5. I didn't get better until I knew what I was doing, but I have a lot of history with it. I was about 12 when I first went hunting all I shot where squirrel, but I could still hit a moving one.
If you enjoyed using a crossbow I really recommend you go shooting it more, it's really enjoyable.

Well i've gone bow hunting and tried out a crossbow but really preferred a good bow. Also i have built up the back muscles to have a 60 pound draw weight, better not waste them.
