It always annoys me greatly whenever that happens. I honestly try to be merciful in Fallout and Skyrim. If the enemy yields, I will not attack them any longer... but then they get back up and start fighting again! There should be some sort of combat mechanic that disables their hostility once they yield. Also, maybe something that prohibits them from attacking if you've got stats of a certain level higher than them? Too many times do I get attacked in Skyrim while wearing, like, full Daedric armor by some bandit wielding an iron dagger. Or, in Fallout- full suit of T-51b, raiders still think it's a good idea to charge me with a switchblade. I'm sure there are mods that can address this issue, but that's for PC only. It would be nice to see such things in the base games, sometime

lol, the first time I played Skyrim.. The general good's sister was walking me to the bridge and jabbering about something, so I decided to pickpocket her and got caught (which I didn't know was possible, I thought I just wouldn't get the item.) She attacked me so I panicked and fought back and she fell to the ground yelling NO MORE, I YIELD! So I sheathed my weapons and was trying to talk to her when she attacked me again. I was so confused, I just killed her and dumped her body in the river so nobody would ever find it

The loading screens describe bears as "not being aggressive unless provoked".

What they fail to mention is that to a bear in Skyrim, "being within visual range" is sufficient provocation.

Back when I first started playing Skyrim one of the first horses I ever bought in the game managed to kill a dragon.

I was traveling in the mountainous western area of Skyrim (one of the areas where it was mostly mountains and a narrow road along the ledges above some big river). As luck would have it a dragon chose that moment to attack, and so in an effort to keep the horse from getting killed I got off and ran up the mountain a safe distance to try to keep the dragon focused on me.

Well as I'm gradually weakening the dragon I had finally got it land so I could ******* hit it with melee, when suddenly I hear a horse neighing and think to myself "ah ****, the horse is getting attacked."

The situation wasn't quite what I expected though, as I looked back up at the dragon (after quickly glancing around to see if the horse was nearby) I see that the horse had somehow managed to use the steep mountainous terrain to climb onto the dragon's back.

My horse had climbed onto a ******* dragon's back and then proceeded to started attacking it. Better still, the angle I was seeing this from and the way the animations/graphics were playing out it looked like the horse had bit the dragon's neck as it dealt the killing blow to the dragon.
