Skyrim sucked as an overall game. I enjoyed it for a while, but once you get passed the "kill everything in 2 power cuts" point it just gets repetitive. Archery and magic is too underpowered. The few things that can kill you do it in one hit, so it eliminates the battle. There are no rewards for the ungodly amounts of hoarding that you're enticed to do.

I don't know if the other Elder Scrolls games are like this, but I don't think I want to try them anymore.

skyrim finally had a good system for smithing, and it turns out weapons and armor don't have conditions, it actually would have been fun to go looking and buying ingots so you can keep weapons in top condition. at least give us the option

And now they're making a ****** Elder scrolls MMO. Smart move, bethesda.

The MMO actually looks pretty good, and Bethesda isn't making it, Zenimax is making it.

As an Elder Scrolls fan who waited for the next game of the series all the time since Oblivion came out, I was really disappointed by Skyrim.

I am sorry Bethesda... but Skyrim could have been so much more. Now I have taken up Dark Souls and I have been positively surprised. Yet I miss the open wordl "do as you wish" world.

It's shame that Skyrim has nothing to keep the player coming back. Oblivion, start a new game as a new class, new experience. But play Skyrim, it's the same experience for the first 6 hours because you can't specialize yet

In Morrowind to become the fighters guild Master u had to have Strength 35 Endurance 35 One skill at 90 and two at 35 and the stats had to be Axe, Long Blade, Blunt Weapon, Heavy Armor, Armorer or Block or u couldn't move up in ranks or get missions so the specialize actually meant something.

As of now, I have spent a bit over 300 hours on Skyrim. I'm playing on the highest difficulty along with a mod that scales enemies better to your level.

I agree that some of the design decisions doesn't fit the game (like removal of classes and stats) but I think people exaggerate when it comes to a lot of things.

People tend to say that it's boring, lifeless and so on, but how come so many people keeps playing it if it's so boring? People need to wake the **** up and get off the bandwagon of hate and whine. They always compare it to the other games in the series but how about you appreciate the game for what it is. I enjoy Skyrim just as much as I enjoyed Oblivion.

You sound like a spoiled 12 year-old girl who didn't get the mobile phone you wanted, so now you're going the complain the phone that you did get. It may be different but that doesn't mean that it's worse.

You act like it's "in" to hate on Skyrim, just what!

I mostly liked Skyrim, and I'm more of a casual player and not really a HARDCORE player. That being said, would anyone recommend Dark Souls to me? I hear it's good but also very hard. I play a few fighting games so I'm used to getting salty but is it worth all the rage I hear so much about or it a new kinda unforgiving rage?
I solute anyone who comments

TL;DR Should I get Dark Souls?

It's not as rage-filled as you think. Once you get used to the game mechanics you realize that most deaths can be avoided by utilizing the game mechanics. I recommend this game.

i play Dark Souls for the Gameplay and I play Skyrim for the world, i can never really compare them because they are very different things. I found enjoyment in the progression and action of Dark Souls. I found enjoyment in scouting out the world of skyrim just as much. Though skyrim sees a lot of hate and disappointment, which is be understandable, but i can't stand is people calling the developer lazy.

For those of you complaining that Skyrim is too easy, too dumbed down, check this mod out. It revamps most of skyrim.

Pretty sure 'The Elder Scrolls: Arena' was the first in the series and that it wasn't a text based game.
