in RWBY, theirs a race called "faunus" they are essential, human with animal parts. like monkey tail or rabbit ears. roman, is working with a criminal family called the white fang, which is enterlly made up of faunus.

rwby is an anime by rooster teeth, it's was designed by the now unfortunately dead monty oum.

the first few episodes are fairly bad, but it picks up latter and gets a whole let better in volume 2

umm.... I thought rooster-teeth was American (Burnie Burns and Co) and did mainly mechinimation (video games turned into animation), and that "anime" can ONLY come from Japan?

well then - why call it "anime" at all? Why not just call it "cartoons" since we are speking English. Or if we were speaking German, we'd call them "Zeichentrickfilme", or if we were speaking French, we'd call them "animé". So why do anime (Japanese or Japanese-style cartoons) get a special name?

The more correct term would probably be "anime-style" since anime does have a fairly unique style. The word did originally mean anything animated from Japan, but its definition has kind of gotten blurry.

Anyways, RWBY is from Rooster Teeth. Probably part of them hiring Monty Oum to do animation for Red vs. Blue. If you watch the show, when they started having the custom animations is when he joined them. Since he did them. Before working for Rooster Teeth, he did his own videos as well. Haloid was a one shot mash up of Metroid and Halo. He also had a short series called Dead Fantasy, which was a mash of Dead or Alive and Final Fantasy. Both were pretty awesome.

However, he just died this past week. I think Rooster Teeth might continue RWBY, but I'm not sure.
