Season 1 is **** . Season 2 is better. Season 3 is exceptional.

Season 3 is great though. What's wrong? o.o

The art direction is great, the choreography is smooth, the characters are slightly less cliched.

The story progression is absolute ******* on sandwich bullocks. The tournament compleltley fills up for the general plot, and the introction of ******* "magic" is almost so spontaneous it's cringeworthy

I like the tournament... and I didn't mind the magic...

Are you forgetting how bad some of their previous arcs were? Remember jaune 's bully arc? !

Semblance, Aura, Magic, ********

At least the older episodes had a sense of continuity. Now we have five minutes of students fighting, and five minutes of people talking about the general state of affairs, with none of two having much relation to each other

semblances and auras have been a thing since episode 1 though. The only new addition was straight up MAGIC. Those others things were sorta biological.

I know that, I was just sort of implying that they are stretching the limits of disbelief by adding a new sort of super power, and simply calling it "magic" makes it seem even more made-up. They have not even fully explained the abilities and limits of semblance, and now they are trowing another new thing to the pile of fantasy stuff. Simply calling it magic seems like they haven't come up with a defined purpose for it yet, and will just use it as a excuse for boosting Pyrrha's power level further up

If you like fight scenes, definitely give it a shot. Monty was a god when it came to animating, rest is soul. The story is ok. The world is very interesting, but some might say it is cliche; imagine Hogwarts for kids with kickass weapons "it's also a gun" , special abilities (not super powers but basically super powers that are triggered or made useful in combat), and just a touch of avatar the last airbender. They share a common enemy like the heartless from kingdom hearts if that reference is understnadable, but there is a larger threat that is vague you'll find. They plot is meh up until the most recent episode which is Volume 3 Chapter 5 season 3 episode 5 basically . The plot is really starting to pick up, and fans are getting super hyped with all the new info about the antagonists and situation the characters are in.

The soundtrack is pretty amazing in my opinion as well.
Definitely worth a watch. The characters are likeable some are cliched and troped to all hell, but I love them still , the world is cool, music is above average, fight scenes are god-like.
I think the total run time of the whole show thus far is close to 7-8 hours this is my rough guess so it's not that long when it comes to length.
episodes are about 4-12 minutes in the first volume, 7-15 in the second, and the third averages about 14 minutes.

Lastly, this is Rooster Teeth's first real attempt at a show in my opinion and they are doing a pretty damn good job.

The plot is like harry potter or soul eater not in an overly simplified sort of way , where main character starts at new magic school with new friends, and they fight all the baddies and whatnot. It's totally whatever, and the creator sadly passed away this year, so i mean no disrespect to the guy. But it really is pretty boring, and the animation is very stilted when they're not fighting, it reminds me of sonic heroes animation when they're just talking, but fight scenes remind me of the original soul eater, and are the best part. But other than that, it's totally whatever, nothing really special.

And It isn't an anime, no matter what people say, or whatever netflix or crunchyroll say, it's not a ******* anime. It was made by an american studio, with an american dub, but just because of the artstyle people call it an anime.

If you watch RWBY you should expect some pretty amazingly animated and well choreographed fight scenes strung together by some plot that isn't animated nearly as well. The guy who masterminded this entire series was responsible for pretty much all Red Vs Blue fight scenes outside the halo engine.

I recommend it.
Character development out the ass, fair amount of action, and even a few feels in there.
And they get pretty damn creative with the weapons.

and kick-ass fight choreography.

Watch it for entertainment, don't take it to seriously until it takes itself seriously, if that makes any sense. Appropriately, kinda like Red vs Blue.
