scims are always inferior to anything with a spec
besides, pvp is usually done with combinations of weapons, unless youre a pure vs pure. i like pure vs pure more than "traditional" pvp tho'. Obby or Gmaul all the way.

They have a faster attack speed and if i remember correctly slightly higher attack than a regular long sword. Other than that i would much rather use a two-hander or a battle ax. While slower they do more damage and have more attack options.
