For the 15th anniversary there's a few activities you can do to get certain reward items. However one of them is a party hat. The party hat is the ******* gnome child hat. We got a meme introduced into the game as a reward. ******* runescape.
I literally got 99 div on thursday and 99 construction last night. I'm still working on dung, but yes I don't like that they made a minigame a "skill." Comp is my next thing I'm working on. Then probably master quest and then trimmed comp. Having no friends irl is great for scaping.
i quit back in august because i just kind of got bored of the game i was working on maxing at the time but still had the boring resource skills left. Dg was one of my favourite skills just because it felt like i was actually doing something instead of semi afking with netflix on, i agree though it doesn't really feel like any of the other skills.
I personally really like doing quests and things. I hate grinding. Dung feels like grinding because I'm doing the same thing over and over. I've got all the primal armor and weapons already, so I don't really have anything else to look forward to. I'm hoping by the end of the school year I'll have 120 dung. We have a lot of teacher work days built in and I think I'm just going to stay home and work on my lesson plans instead of actually drive up to the school on those days.
quest cape was the first cape i got thought it took much longer than it should have because i also hate grinding. I spent most of my playing time wandering around socializing or just exploring the world on my own. Sometimes i miss runescape probably because its been a part of my life for so long, but i know there isn't really a point to going back because all that's left is the grind maybe in a few years when there is enough new quests for me to do i'll go back.
my hardcore ironman died. falador black knights that scale to your level just had to stand between my cursor and a yew tree also why don't you respond to me anymore? WHAT DID I DO?! NOTICE ME
Motivation comes easy for me because I enjoy getting high stats. One of the reasons being it makes the rest of the game (combat, pvm, quests, achivement diaries, clue scrolls, etc) much easier in the long run, and afterwards you can focus on all the other fun stuff without being interrupted by "oh crap, I gotta get this lvl up for that".
If you want to be consistent at grinding, the most important thing is to find your own pace. Most people (including me) will just burn out quickly if they try the most efficient methods at first, but on the other hand the slowest and most "afk" methods get boring too. So find a balance.
Other than that, have something else to do on the side. Watch movies/shows, twitch streams, youtube, FJ, or just zone out with some music. Another thing that's surprisingly effective is just sitting in a teamspeak or skype call to make the time go by faster.
Oh, and the reason my stats are this high is because I'll be going for all the achievement diaries, and they have some pretty serious requirements.
Man, that sounds ******* boring. I was leveling crafting and I had the gold bar system down to try and make some coin while I do it. It just seems to take forever with the xp, and I just get bored in about 5 minutes. I tried RS3, expecting it to be more interesting, but the XP requirements for that are ******* astronomical. The last few cooking levels take around 20,000-50,000 rocktail to max, and even then, they removed ******* capes from f2p because jagex are thieving cunts. I prefer some quicker RPG games, but I loved Oldschool RS at the time to bits. Got any other game recommendations?
Well, in that case RS just might not be for you. If you want to get far, it is very time consuming and involves grinding.
But try doing skilling methods that don't require much clicking or attention, and you can easily do them on the side while watching movies, I really recommend it. If you're just staring at the game window while skilling you get bored much quicker.
Not sure what other games to reccomend, as this is pretty much the only online RPG game I'm into.
Yeah, it probably isn't my thing. I like to progress with an intricately designed storyline, unique characters for allies and magical looking environments. Basically, I want dragon age inquisition 2. I loved RS back in the day and did well at it, but grinding just doesn't offer me anything interesting. If grinding was like with RS3 protean, I'd do it, because I'm almost 60 smithing in RS3. What grinding methods don't need constant running or **** like that? I'd like one where I just check it every 5 minutes, and don't need to command the clicking and movement, etc. Basically, 07 RS protean for f2p.
Your best bet if you're gonna do skilling is probably woodcutting yews or fishing lobsters / swordfish / sharks / monkfish. it's not gonna be 5 minute long AFK, not nearly, but they're one of the easiest things to do.
Ugh, they're the ******** skills to level. I'll just get a bot program. I used one ******* years ago, and it was aight. Or I might just find a different game. Love me some RPGs.
Meh, IDGAF. Runescape was fun to grind back in the day when I was a younger, but now I don't have the time or the effort. I still enjoy playing to experience what it was like when I didn't know the map or the way around, just winging it and thinking cooking shrimp was the ******* bomb, but it just doesn't do what it did for me back then. It's something I want back, but I'll never have, so instead of reminiscing on those memories, I want some new video game memories to be made. I want to play the best games out there and experience the thrill of playing it for the first time. The only game that can recreate the feeling time after time is FFX, my all time favourite. I can't find anything else to match that amazing feeling, so runescape just feels like a drag to me because I can't make it happen.
I just barely started playing runescape again for the nostalgia, and now i've been seeing multiple runescape posts on funnyjunk. It must be the ancient prophecy, I was destined to play runescape on this day. All Hail Saradomin. also if you played runescape when you were a kid I think you should try it again, preferably with a friend. It's a lot more fun now that im older and I dont suck dick at video games.
