First episode didn't really grab my interest. Rick's lines were just annoying in that episode.

Ex: "HEY, HEY, HEY UHH *belch* MORTY, I NEED YA, I NEED YA TO GO *holds back from puking* TO GO HOLD THIS THING FOR ME AND RUN IT TO YOUR CAFETERIA, ANNNNNNNNNNND GO HIDE IT SOMEWHERE, COULD YA DO THAT FOR ME MORTY, COULD YA, COULD YA, DO THAT FOR YOUR BU*burps*BUDDY 'OL PAL??"

First episodes are supposed to INTEREST your audience.

They don't have to have great stories or plots, just be INTERESTING.

It was "meh".

I've heard he gets less "rambling" in other episodes, but I'm not sure I wanna sit through the rest of his rambling speech patterns.

I have to admit the first episode is a lot weaker than the rest of the series. But at least watch the next couple episodes to determine if you like it or not.

OK, i'll trust you.

(And just in case anyone thinks I'm BSing on what I previously said,) Death Note had be interested after the first episode...interested in the second...then i LOVED it at the end of the third. But those first two pulled me along enough for me to really enjoy it.

not all shows have strong starts,
often the first will be a pilot which is a cheaper, "look at what this **** is" type episode and
then it either improves or worsens as it goes along,
took me till episode 8 of mlp to start loving it...

Nothing definitive yet, just that it's in the works. Hopefully season 2 will be out on early 2015.

Been noticing a lot of this sensitivity against harmful words against the mentally impaired on fj.

In case you didnt know, the majority of children and teenagers that jut dont fit into the main stream clique are identified as having some form of mental illness. Doctors or teachers will go and identify way the **** more kids as mentally ill than there actually is, because teachers get a pat on the back and doctors get to sell medication. Soon, a huge civil rights movement is going to develop for the mentally impaired and it is going to have the punch of the lgbt movement. This is a bad thing. You'll see that special interest groups want to remove the stigma of being diagnosed and soon it will be that if you have a false-diagnosis then it will be extremely hard to appeal your case. I assume the majority of people on fj have had a diagnosis, real or false.

What is almost certainly to happen is destruction through apportionment. How? The majority of non-comformists, at first disappointed they dont fit in, learn they can choose any path they desire and go to do great things for the world and make themselves happy. With a retarded ass mental illness civil rights movement, merely having **** social skills in first grade will dictate that for the rest of your life you will associate with those in the movement, view the rest of the world as the movement tells you to, think of politics and economics the way they tell you to, develop the work ethic the movement tells you to, and listen to the music the movement makes you listen to.

It is the way that feminists say women empowerment is about getting out of the house and getting a career while women who choose to be mothers will not be supported by the feminist movement. Feminism is clearly a creation of capitalists, who wanted to pay men not enough to support a family on one paycheck. Civil rights is about control of a certain group, not empowerment.

That reminds me of this one time I was out with friends and one of my buddies was talking about how he was joining circle of friends. If you don't know what that is it's just, students who spend one day a week with a special ed student during lunch.
He was talking about having to pay to join the club and I just said, "You have to pay to join? That's retarded."

Took me a while to get that was not exactly an appropriate choice of words

People are too god damn sensitive these days. Seriously, people need to toughen up and learn how to take a joke. Stop taking everything so god damn personally. Man the **** up you pussy. Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're in the right. How the **** can you say to someone "THAT ISN'T FUNNY BECAUSE I PERSONALLY DO NOT THINK IT'S FUNNY IN MY OWN OPINION!" I found it funny so go **** yourself. That's all that matters. You don't laugh but I do. Get over yourself. Basically, people need to stop being so ******* sensitive...

'Toughen up,' 'Learn how to take a joke,' ' Stop taking everything so god damn personally,' 'Man the **** up you pussy,' 'Stop being so ******* sensitive,'

I'm all for ranting, but how many times did you need to repeat the exact same thing in different words?

Repeating things unnecessarily just makes your writing redundant, it does nothing for your message. Short, well-chosen (and well-written) words are far more impactful than a wall of text that belongs in a teenager's blog.

That's primarily for oration, not writing. And even that means repeating main ideas clearly at the beginning and end, not repeating the same thing 5 times when you only wrote 10 sentences.

Yeah, whatever word they use is just going to get a negative connotation eventually as well. When I was young you were crippled, then people learned to associate it with something bad because of course that's a bad thing. So they called it disabled, then that was bad. Then it was handicapped, now that's bad and it's differently abled or whatever the ****.
Same thing happened with gay and homosexual and retarded and mentally handicapped-mentally challenged-whatever the god it is now. It's the same thing people just learn if someone's using it in a negative context or not instead of getting lawsuit happy because precious feelings are kinda hurt. Sorry for that rant I had to be forced to debate this the other day for hours with a bunch of chick tumblr types.
