I'm not a vegetarian but I have plenty of vegetarian friends, I respect their choice to not eat meat. The only time I don't respect them is when they try to "convert" me to vegetarian. I consider that rather annoying. I can understand complaining about there not being anything for vegetarians but honestly it can be rather hard to have a specific menu without meat at some places...

Don't forget that the world we live in is all about money so the sad fact is if we did all go vegan or vegetarian millions of animals will be killed because there would be no profit in keeping them anymore. Even if they weren't killed straight away and were all released into the wild the previously domesticated animals would die out in their millions as they are outcompeted for food by other animals or the habitats they live in cannot cope with the number of animals living off it. These militant vegetarians also forget about the benefits domesticated animals get like free food, shelter, security and medical care plus the horror stories about animals being mistreated in abbatoirs are thankfully a small minority of cases since animal rights are so widely enforced and are heavily legislated to protect the animals from being treated inhumanely.
