Are CNN and MSNBC any better? All large news corporations bash each other and their affiliated parties. Even the news becomes biased, depending on who they want to look bad and what will make their own party look better. They need to just come to a consensus that both parties make valid points and report the news like they're supposed to.

The difference between Fox News and other news organizations is that Fox News intentionally lies to push its political agenda.

I'm Canadian, and Fox News is notorious around the world for being trash. It's just as bad as Russia Today and PressTV, and those are Russia's and Iran's state-run propaganda networks.
User avatar #598 to #597 - surfingbudha **User deleted account** (02/09/2012) [-]
Wouldn't you count deliberately withholding information to skew how people will see the story as lying? If so, then all networks are guilty. I'm not doubting you at all, they probably do lie to push their agenda, I'm just saying they aren't the only ones.
User avatar #601 to #598 - deltadeltadelta (02/09/2012) [-]
Fox News has been the only major news organizations in the US found to have intentionally lied (and did and continues to do so repeatedly). There was even a court case over it where it was ruled that Fox News can lie and misrepresent all they like.

There have been studies showing that Fox News viewers are the least informed, even less informed than those that don't subscribe to any news organization. That's because Fox's audience is disinformed.

I know you're trying to be impartial and fair-minded, but this is how it is. There are no redeeming qualities to Fox aside from the very pretty anchor ladies.

I don't doubt that at all honestly. I'm somewhat republican and I've still never been able to stand fox news. I just don't understand the point in attacking one network when they all twist the stories around to get ratings and garner support for their affiliated parties.

Studies show that CNN rarely misrepresents anything, but then again CNN has become little different than Entertainment Tonight. All the latest on celebrity gossip...

I hate how ignorant people are these days. Just yesterday I was walking around campus and there was this big group of protestors holding a bunch of signs. There is usually some sort of group of hipster, "want to change the world" type people all around my college. They were talking about some bullshit with class rates, the governor, and the "establishment". or something along those lines, I was planning on walking right past them, but suddenly they all started walking towards me, there were probably about 20 of them, and I was thinking "What the fuck?" and was a little uncomfortable. One guy came up to me and pushed a clipboard at me and a pen, and said "I need about tree fiddy". It was just about then I noticed he was a 500 foot tall crustacean from the Paleozoic era, to which I relied, "God damn lochness monster, I ain't gonna give you no tree fiddy."

Fucking liberals. That's all I have to say. Just stupid, fucking liberals.
User avatar #498 to #473 - theguynamedme (02/08/2012) [-]
Actually.... what should be said is "stupid fucking people who decide what political party they are going to vote for before they even look at the issues".
Judging by your comment, you would be one of the said stupid fucking people.
#605 to #498 - solinvictus (02/09/2012) [-]
Right. So me calling a group of people stupid fuckers means that I haven't read up on the issues. Nice logic there buddy. Just so you know, I don't get my news from some shitty news stations that don't even report real news (yes FOX is guilty of this too). I get my stuff elsewhere. Yes, I hate liberals. I hate them because they are socialist pigs. I hate them because they have created an entitlement state of victims. I hate them because they ran the economy down into the gutter starting with their fuck up with the housing market. I hate them because they are elitist, authoritarian assholes who think they know how to run everyone else's lives. I hate them because they have ruined education in this country, and because they have ruined the value structure in our society. They have twisted everything inside and out so that somehow, some idiot can sit on the side of the road with a dumb fuck poster that makes no sense to a rational being yet is able to claim to hold the intellectual and moral high ground in any debate. I hate them because they spit on our constitutional rights and then try to make it our fault, because they only want to do whats "best" for us. Have I analyzed the "issues" enough for your liking? Shall I write a fucking book for you? Furthermore, I'd prefer not to vote for any of the established parties because the est. republicans aren't much better than the libs, they tell the same god damned lies, just with what they think is a conservative twist, when in fact they are no more conservative than the sitting democrats are. Now go put all that in your pipe and smoke it, bitch.
User avatar #606 to #605 - theguynamedme (02/09/2012) [-]
Let me first remind you that Bush was still in office when all the economic shit happened. Let me also remind you that it's republicans that always like to cut things from schools (athletics, classes, etc.) while Democrats usually like to go for the tax increase to the rich (which makes sense by the way). Constitutional rights? Hmmmm why does that sound familiar, oh yes, Gay Marriage, and who opposes that? Republicans. You obviously need to read up on your stuff. Nothing you say is valid. And also, calm your tits.
#607 to #606 - solinvictus (02/09/2012) [-]
My tits are fine, thank you. And it was Democrats who forced banks to give out loans to people with lower credit scores who couldn't pay back their loans in the future. So when those loans weren't paid back, it caused a crash in the housing market and now we have all this mess that we're in. If you paid any attention to the news, you would know that the Bush that good feeling when you poopistration was warning people about this precise thing as far back as 2003 or 2004 I think. It was DEMOCRATIC senators who pushed these policies, particularly Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. Oh believe me, I"ve read up on my "stuff". Cutting taxes is not the reason for the decline of education. It has become more of a center of indoctrination. They don't even teach proper history. For instance (and this is one of many examples), our teachers and school books always praise FDR for pulling us out of the depression with his magical social programs, when those programs did absolutely jack shit for the economy. Shovel ready jobs don't produce anything. You don't hear about his consolidation of power. You don't hear about the communist agents infiltrating his that good feeling when you poopistration at the highest levels. Thats just to name a few of his mistakes. And how does taxing the people who create jobs help the economy? The more money you steal from them (yes, its thievery when you take money from someone by gunpoint, thats what taxes are in the end) the less they can spend to hire people. How is that the solution? And even if you did tax all the "rich" 100% you would only get about $200 billion dollars out of them, which wouldn't even cover half of our defense budget. I have all of history to back me up in all of this. Maybe if you tried reading it sometimes, you would know that. And I"m sure you'll just shrug all this off because your so brainwashed and incapable of reasoning, but there it is, no one can say I haven't tried to help you people.
