The reason everything seems to become Ponified is actually quite simple.

It is an EXTREMELY LARGE fan-base.
Because of how large it is, you are going to be able to find a brony, who also happens to like something else.

Name a show, game, movie, or song. There is a brony somewhere who likes it.
Now...because this person likes both subjects, they decide to combine them. Double the fun for them right?

And that's why everything gets ponified.
