Rainbowdash never said 20% of 80%...
And 20% of 80% is NOT 16.
Besides, if art requires no smarts, why the fuck are you getting 80's on it?

EDIT:
Remove second line. Still though, 1st and 2nd lines are still standing.

see that calculator button on your keyboard? Press it, then put in 80 / 20% and tell us again how 20% of 80 is not 16 ok?

First of all, a percent can not be put in a calculator because it represents a portion of any number, not a number. Second of all, after converting that percent to a workable number, you multiple, not divide. Division would give you a bigger number than you started with.
80 / 20%
80 / 0.2
=400

YOu don't divide you multiply...
User avatar #324 to #293 - Thestyrofoampeanut (05/23/2012) [-]
That was my point. I was showing how his method was wrong and got an answer of 400, which is incorrect.

What does your calculator say? I find it strange that doing the same problem could give two different answers.
User avatar #287 to #284 - rasconza (05/23/2012) [-]

User avatar #290 to #287 - Thestyrofoampeanut (05/23/2012) [-]

20% of 80%=80% divided by 5, 80 divided by 5 =16.
