It seems to be a common plothole in DBZ.

roshi himself blew up the moon with a kamehameha when goku was still a kid, then piccalo blows it up with a simple, non charged blast.

and then vegeta blows up an entire planet with two fingers.

all the while, they get surprised at KID BUU when he supposedly summons up enough power, into a gigantic fucking ball mind you, that's capable of *gasp* blowing up the entire planet.

Just a simple inconsistency in DBZ, people seem to get more powerful as the show goes on, but their abilities never really change.

No one ever watched dragon ball... tfs joke in there... and it cant happen all the time

I'll admit that I didn't watch Dragon Ball until I'd finished Dragon Ball Z, though I must say that it is a lot more interesting. Fight scenes didn't generally last more than one episode, and it featured far more characters and plot lines than Dragon Ball Z. It also had a lot more adult material, with some of the very first episodes being extremely questionable for a show targeted towards children in the West.

I enjoy them both, and I view them somewhat seperately.

thats such a shame it was a good show, plenty of bad ass moments
