RSS Feeds pony fanfic or not?
Hey guys, I'm considering writing a fanfic about a pony i made up called Moonsong Shimmer, the story will include Spitfire, Soarin, Rainbow dash and Pinkie Pie. I wont give away too much but it will be mostly adventure + sadness with a (hopefully) happy ending, but it depends how the story goes and if the happy ending fits. It will probably be pretty crap seeing as its the first fanfic ive ever written and im 12 years old so please tell me what you think about it :)

Ok guys so I've just finished writing it, not the complete story just roughly whats happening without all the detail. Rainbow dash isnt a main character anymore she just has a small part in it and another main character is Princess Luna, its also not very long but it does have about 6 chapters, which are quite small. I will probably put it on the internet either today if its finished or maybe tomorow depending on how long it takes, it probably wont be as good as other fanfics as it only took 5 hours to write (others take like 3 days or more) so dont expect too much :) have a nice day everypony

sonicg (02/13/2012) [-] I would say go for it, but given the fact you're only twelve kinda irks me. I'm sure you can form proper sentences but writing also requires a higher vocabulary and an understanding of it. It can't be "he said, she said" everytime. Honestly though, I didn't ask anybody if they thought I should, I just up and did it, then three more followed and I've got another yet to be published, sure they're all far from complete but these things take a while and can NOT be rushed. Hell my first fic was surprisingly successful, people we're genuinely surprised when they found out I was a first timer so who knows maybe you've got potential in the area, maybe not, there's only one way to find out.

sonicg (02/13/2012) [-] Just keep the idea in mind, maybe scratch down a few notes for it somewhere for later use. Don't get discouraged though, I used to absolutely abhor writing, preferring my artistic abilities with drawing. That is until I became a brony and was inspired to create a fic, now in my opinion mine are all trash except for my fourth one 'A Flight to Remember' it just seems right compared to the other's. Maybe it's from my choice of fics I don't know but people seem to like it and I will gladly give the readers what they want. Funfact: One of the comments on the aforementioned has completely changed a portion of the original idea.
