MFW Hasbro claims Derpy teaches kids to ridicule the handicapped, because pulling her would teach them that they should be ignored and kept hidden, which is going to lead to the kids being mean to the retards in their classes. Also, everyone loved a character as a kid on this site who was dumber and more offensive than Derpy, and usually a main character, too. Mine was Patrick :/

How would a retard be able to understand that anyway?

Lovable ridiculed idiot.

What's the difference?

Never even watched the show but it all sounds like total ********* to me...

I have seen no confirmed reasons as to why there was the change, simply a lot of rumor and gossip. If there is evidence that this was the cause, please present it, and I will fully support you. Besides, how many kids are aware of the change and will think that mentally handicapped should be hidden because of that? I don't think children are able to make such a connection. Of course, I may be wrong.

Well of course they may not notice. However, it stands that they are no longer being exposed to the character being accepted in a relatively normal way. If they see it happen enough, they'll think it's normal. However, by denying them this experience, you're denying them one of the main lessons to be learned in the show. Counter-productive and somewhat hypocritical.

Very good point. I stand corrected.
