The animation of her shows are on par with South Park, which at least makes no claims about having amazing animation.
Her writing skills are also not incredible; the shows are as plot-driven as Sesame Street. It doesn't take a whole lot of talent to make back-to-back episodes that really have nothing to do with each other.

It's not on par with South Park, because the shows that the bronies are talking about (PPG, Iron Giant, Fosters, and of course, MLP) aren't shitty looking cardboard cutouts of stupid characters doing stupid shit.
