some members of the amish community are allowed to have and use technology so long as it doesn't go too far beyond say a car or perhaps a phone, simply because it allows trade and commerce to the outside world which is their only form of income a little easier, how else do whole sale stores get amish jams and jellies and keep them in such readily supply.

when they are not delivering perishables, but as i said before some are allowed to have cars and even cell phones for the sole purpose of commerce its not that uncommon
