okay, im not gonna check this argument out any more, so i leave with this. I love the fact that you are passionate about this money going to a better cause. but really, do something! if you come back with an idea for a way to raise money, i would love it, but if you really are upset, insulting bronies isnt helping anything. no im not a brony, just arguing so i can reason it out. thats what i do.

I'm not insulting anyone, I'm ATTACKING bronies, and more specifically those that I consider SCUMBAG BRONIES. I don't think my avatar makes it hard to guess what group I belong to.
But thank you for reasoning with me.

Attacking us for what?
User avatar #60 to #58 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
For being irrational. You have to remember that the way you see things isn't necessarily the way the general audience is going to see it. You're NOT helping your image.

First off this isn't a brony making the documentary. Its the guy who voiced Discord. He's as astounded by the brony fan base as anyone else and wants to document it. Second, how is donating to the documentary irrational?
User avatar #91 to #90 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
I'm more talking about the 30 second ad on tv. The documentary is largely irrelevant. I put it there just because it has a sum number on it xP

How are the bronies responsible for an ad on tv? Thats Hasbro and the HUB...
User avatar #101 to #100 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
You did see the part about the "Thank you" project?
#102 to #101 - prisonerofreality **User deleted account** (05/17/2012) [-]
I'll admit the Thank you project is a bit over the top, but its just some people wanting to say thanks to the network that brought them a good show and introduced them to a great community. How's that bad?
User avatar #103 to #102 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
I have this horrible feeling that it's going to backfire and completely ruin the bronies' image instead of doing anything good.
#105 to #103 - prisonerofreality **User deleted account** (05/17/2012) [-]
Implying we have a good image outside our own community to begin with. Dont treat this like its SOPA or something like that. It probably wont even happen, but if it does at least see how it turns out before you start shit storms about it. Because now what happens if it turns out its just a group of guys and maybe girls saying thank you to Hasbro, the HUB, and Lauren Faust? You look like a jerk for making such a big fuss about it.
#106 to #105 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
It can always get worse. For now it's at least stable. Won't happen? So what will they do with the money? When we can see "how it turns out" it will be too late to change anything. Uh, you know, when bronies show their faces on tv it may kinda cause a fuss. May. Kinda.
ONLY LOOK LIKE?

Calm your tits man. Why do you give two shits what others think of us anyway? Like I said if anything all its gonna be is a bunch a people saying thanks to the network. And if that does somehow make us look bad (IDK how that would happen) then oh well. People who don't like us will still not like us even if it is good, but that's not why they're doing it. It's not to show how "normal" we can be, it's not to show ourselves, all it is, is a message to the network. I honestly don't understand why people think everything has to be a message to non-bronies.
User avatar #108 to #107 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
Now I'm sad because I don't have tits.
I care because making people hate us more can end up hurting the show. And we don't want that now, do we? We already caused the development of one character only to have her censored. If we start addressing Hasbro the corporation on tv, who knows what might happen? The creators and animators already know how much we appreciate the show and give us fan service quietly, but if Hasbro takes notice, it might go "Hey, make these and these changes, we have a new audience now and we have to milk them. Appropriate? We're the boss of you, we decide what's appropriate". Before we know it, we might end up causing more damage than good. If we want Hasbro to just keep producing the show... well, we can buy the show and its merchandise. It's as simple as that. Proclaiming ourselves as a broad audience isn't going to do any good.

From what I hear Derpy only got censored on the iTunes release of the episode, how that works I have no idea, and got changed back to normal soon after. I don't think we have anything to worry about.
User avatar #115 to #114 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
She's still censored on Netflix :/

really?
User avatar #117 to #116 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
Yes, it's been confirmed. Well, I don't have netflix, but I've checked the sources. The episode is the censored version ><
#118 to #117 - prisonerofreality **User deleted account** (05/17/2012) [-]
I just checked it out and unfortunately it is censored...but at least its not when they air it.
User avatar #119 to #118 - amantes (05/17/2012) [-]
I rly don't get this selectivity. Tv and dvds are okay, itunes and netflix are not. What gives.
