Colors was meh
Generations was great, but a lot of it was the nostalgia factor (i.e. Sky Sanctuary and the Perfect Chaos fight)

I'm currently playing through Sonic Adventure 2 on the Gamecube. This fucking game sometimes.

Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast (Sonic DX for Gamecube) is my all-time favorite game.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was in my opinion the peak of Sonic. I wasted countless hours going through story mode to pick up animals for my chaos, and even more time in the chao garden.

I remember playing one of the racing maps with tales around 100 times in one day.

It needs remaking in a movie or OVAs- the quality in story and design was there, it was just that TOEI didn't have the technology at the tiem to make it look all clean and sparkley.

God, I loved that season...

No, Kaiba had his heart shattered to rid it of darkness (which obviously workded because his next move was to try and kill Mokuba with the Experience of Death, Yami had to save him).
He also hospitalized 5 of Joey's old friends by making them fall through a roof, had a guy stung by a scorpian (he pulled a Bakura and only let yugi have control in order to call an Ambulance). Lotsa stuff.

I've come to realise, everything went to shit since Atem was born- everything is his fault. And Bakura is just trying to get revenge for the lost of his family and friends. And he protects Ryo so much better than Atem did Yuugi, Atem lost Yuugi's soul twice and used him as the sacrifice in the battle city finals. Bakura hasn't risked Ryo once.

God I love Season 0.

I love Black and White! ruby and saphire were great, obviously all the old stuff was great to. I wasn't keen on forth gen but thats off topic. The franchise still kicks out cool stuff now, the designs are great, same team that make it, the only thing thats chaged is us, we see old stuff with nostalgia goggles making it better and compare new stuff to our more mature tastes while pokemon still trys to apeal to a slightly younger audience. I think its a bit disrespectful to the crew who makes pokemon to write the new stuff off as you can still see theres a lot of effort goes in and the final product is great! And for the record all the gens have had some duffer pokemon (muk, farfetched, ekans, tediursa, ditto, stawsbuck, poochiena, vaniliite) but all have some greatness! (Zebstrika, Buizel, charmander, squirtle, emolga, cindiquil, Mimun for me are a lot of fun)

And its always evolving, let it hapen, its usualy for the better, for examplepikachu, mostpeoplewould likelly agree the new design is better? (its 1993 concept work compared to pikachus 2005 re-design the re-designs are always smallso you dont ntice it ut next to really old stuff it shows alot!)

Well i think diamond holds the most selling game on the ds ever so they still sell pretty well. Also back when pokemon was realesed it was a first, now there are hundreds of rip offs and more competition in general, so to say its sales shows its worse is very weak reasoning. And If you still insist that sales means the best, then does that mean that Justin bieber, niki minaje, lady gaga, and whatever other sellout nonsence is the best music around? NO. Andif they wantto sell moregames how are they going to do that? The only real way is to step their game up! And that they did, making it on Ds, making bigger maps and more pokemon. And if your going to say there not as good well what do you expect, its all devolopped by ken sugimori who designed the first 151 and alot of second gen over 15 years through his childhood all the way to the games being released! So in two years every time he makes more and they still look absolutelly great (even if you dont like them, there better than what most people could do with that time for sure, and i myself love the new designs from 5th gen!

and back to the sales point, that could be alot of the fans grew up and moved away from games like that. And pokemon wasn't really HUGE until 98 when red and blue came out (96 was the japanese games, they sold well but wern't a phemominon like the pokemon games and anime that came 2 years later) and emerald was a sub realese like Yellow, Crystal, Fire red, Soul Silver, and soon to be released black and white 2, they never sell as well so your not using particuarly fair examples.

And in reply to the argument they all look the same, well what do you expect they are based around animals, we can either have cool new designs or we can start making pokemon about stupid as shit stuff! Would you rather have a pokemon that looks like a more modern version of pidgey, or rather they started adding things like the toaster pokemon, and the soup pokemon, becuase i for one would rather stuff that is still new but related to old designs. And of my current dream team, 3 are gen 5's, then thers a gen 1, 2 and 3, why because the new pokes are the best in my humle opinion so far overall, though my total faves are Vulpix and espeon.

Gameplay wise, pokemon has advanced quite a bit, but no one can ever tell me pokemon is getting any more intuitive with their pokemon designs.

In the 3rd-5th generations, all the Pokemon look like Neopets. There's also trashbag and icecream pokemon.

I tried playing Pokemon White, and I couldn't do it. The aesthetics, the dialogue, the storyline, I just can't tolerate it. It's rubbish.

Too bad, I think the games (Pokemon included) have only gotten better and more interesting since 1st gen.

As someone else said regarding Garbador and Vanilluxe (that, for the record, is listed as a Snowstorm Pokemon):

Yes, but you have to take into account that some pokemon are meant to be jokes. Mr mime, jinx, etc. Its not just the nostalgia factor, most new designs really do suck, yet you can find a few pearls among them, which is a shame.

gen 5 was amazing, give me an example of a pokemon aside from garbador and the ice cream one and tell me why they suck. not just "wtf is this supposed to be?!" if anything gen 4 was the worst game of the series as far as pokemon go solely because they added very few new pokemon and in the whole game there were only 4 different fire pokemon you could get unless you got flareon who sucks as a fire type anyway. it was horribly imbalanced and was mostly used for its worldwide open trading. gen 1 really needs to stop getting so much praise, the games re-release was the worst selling pokemon game in existance whereas the other remake of silver and gold was HUGELY popular. and white/black was loved enough to get a direct sequel
