It is not sad story! It makes you sad tho cause you don;t want her to go but she has to. So you get sad face cause she has to leave "daddy." You are right it is not a "sad/ depressing" story.

Based on opinion my friend, But you've seen how sad people are with the story, which is why I posted this link. To cheer them the fuck up, I know I did...

but what's there to be sad about? Sure the two can't communicate... but he knows she's where she belongs... that's a HAPPY ending in my books... otherwise she'd live out her life in his world lonely and depressed like... like the dalek in season 1 of doctor who. No purpose, no meaning, just suffering. God help us if he died before her!

Nah... this just isn't that sad... If you want true misery, create a story where there is suffering without catharsis. Where people are in pain and perhaps even die... and we learn nothing, there was no rhyme or reason... they just happened to be alive. Now that's sad. The more engaging the character prior to being struck down, the more depressed the reader

For instance. TFiOS. 300 page book. First 200 pages were all laughs and butterflies... from page 210 - 240 I literally could not read 1 page without crying. Then when the last 50 pages were rolling through I kept looking for a silver lining and found none. SO DEPRESSING.

DO IT! John Green asked that no spoilers be revealed on the internet forever, but... it's just... You know how BAD Twilight makes teenage romance? Imagine a book that... takes all that crap... and makes it a legitimate beautiful intimate love story. THAT'S TFiOS! The first legitimate teen romance I've seen in a while. (I figure that's not a spoiler since the romantic tones begin like... 15 pages in...)

Not a big romance fan, but I'll give it a shot regardless.

Never thought of it that way... But still, they both retained their memory so I'm sure they are still pretty depressed... But you're right although I'm sticking with the story...
