There's the problem. Everyone thinks that if they don't like something it has no right to be on "their" internet. I love it when people see a pony post and are like "El gasp! How dare you post a pony on this site! Even if it is in ponytime!" Which I understand that they may not like ponies and just because its on ponytime doesn't mean they cant see it. But when you see the name of a channel that you don't like isn't it just common sense to skip instead of seeing it, saying "OMG this is going to be gay as fuck", looking at the content, getting mad because they dare defile the interwebs with ponies, then comment on how much you hate the post/show/community?

I'd favour a guess that the "normal" bronies avoid association with the "fat dorky neck-beard" bronies solely because we have might be a bit embarrassed by that association. I mean, I'd like to think of myself as average-looking. The only similarity between myself and the popular images of what society seems to think bronies look like, is that we both like mlp. I wouldn't go to conventions of mlp because I would feel way out of place.

Such is it with every show out there.

I've never come across any hardcore fans of shows that try to shove then down my throat except for bronies. All they do is say I'm crazy for not liking them and move on. That's just personal experience though

That is because FJ have many bronies compared to other shows. I have seen those kind for all fandoms, a major part being the Twilight cult or the Twitards as they call them.

I'm not refering to FJ, I'm talking real life. I've seen bronies at my school that are just unbearable hipster motherfuckers who talk about nothing but mlp, fandom, and how hipster they are, I've also seen a more nerdy looking kid that has worn like 5 different mlp shirts in one week. As far as twighlight fans, I've never had one try to shove it down my throat all they do is say the books are better than the movies. Not to mention most realize that guys aren't in to that shit.
