While I agree with your thesis I just wanted to point out that Griffons can also walk on clouds, and it appears that several winged creatures can also, in 'may the best pet when' and 'cutie mark chronicles'
And, of course, Alicorns.

Alicorns are still considered Pegasi, the same way someone with AB blood is considered fully A type and fully B type.

Dude it's a totes different race.
For one they're larger than any other species of pony, also there's the thing of being immortal, and it's impossible for any combination of normal pony genes to create an Alicorn.

I agree that it was a refreshing dose of CHAOS, not unlike Pinkie's. but his is too sinister for it to last. It would have gotten old after 3-4 episodes, whereas Pinkie's brand of CHAOS has lasted her a good season, without losing the flavor. Think of Discord like Fruit Stripes, and Pinkie like a never ending roll of Bubble-Tape.

That analogy made more sense to me than anything has in a long time. Props to you.

On a semi-unrelated note, i think i have lost the ability to cry.
Recently read my little dashie, watched several disney movies, I am Legend, had the person who meant more to me than anything else in the world leave me and refuse all communication...and not a single tear

the wiki says tank is male...unless people are misreading it and are thinking that it means that tank never sees Dashie again. in which case that would explain why everyone keeps questioning why it says 'him"

Thats how i read it... OP, to be clearer you should have put "Never seen again" instead of "Never sees him again"
