Uh... I might be wrong here, but with vice versa meaning conversely wouldn't that mean that you'd switch the two, then switch them back again, making it just like turning 360 degrees and moonwalking away?

Anyways, just saying 'switched X with Y would suffice'.

Nah. I just means they swapped X with Y and Y with X. You could have swapped X with Y and Y with Z. So it just shows that both colors were swapped. But it definitely would have been understood even without the vice versa.
