I wish to talk to you about something I deem
important on the subject of

But don' t thumb down immediatly
because that' s what I' m here to talk about
I' been on Funnyjunk for about a year now
and a brony for a few months
This means I know both sides ofthe coin.
I' noticed that mlp comments get thumbed
down immediatly which I always thought was
a bit harsh. I mean, if it' s relevant, it' s relevant
regardless of what it' s from.
I know many people on this site are butthurt
from that time when mlp was EVERYWHERE
or so I' heard, I wasn' t around when that
was a thing) but that time has passed.
All I' m asking is to judge all content equally
and then make a decision on it. I' m not telling
you to watch mlp or even thumb it up, just
don' t immediatly thumb it down.
I' m probably going to get a lot of hate for
this, or completely ignored. I just want to
express my feelings to this site hating mlp
And before you ask, I know there' s a
difference between this
But you' re never gonna stop , and you
can thumb down the second picture (I mean,
I do) but judge the relevance before choosing
which thumb to use (or you could just leave it)
Just don' t bombard every mlp comment you
see with red thumbs, that' s all I want

Sir I really don't think you understand just how bad the pandemic was. If you've been here for a year then you probably remember what it was like when people first started posting tumblr comments. It was EVERYWHERE. Literally every other post was pretty much guaranteed to be a tumblr post. Or maybe you remember the fateful night of the first season finale of the Legend of Korra? Yeah that time when for 48 hours straight FJ was literally flooded from the Front Page to the Latest Uploads with bendingtime material.

The MLP and ponytime reign was just like that. Literally every second or third post was pretty much guaranteed to be MLP related. And it went on like that for MONTHS.
It was worse than any ******** The Designer ever pulled. It was worse than the great spam of Fat Ben Made Poop. It was terrible. It go so bad a lot of users left the site for good. Myself included. This is my second account, because I deleted my first account after getting tired of the site literally infested with Bronys.

Personally I don't really have anything against MLP or the Bronys. I think it's kinda ridiculous, and I have no idea how people get sucked into. I've watched the first few episodes. It's a bunch of talking ponies singing half the damn episode about being scared, or happy, or whatever, and the other half is just typical good behavior reinforcement for little kids. How it appeals to grown men is beyond me. But there is still worse things to like. But just understand that MLP left a very sour taste in a lot of the older users of this site. So when you do bring it up, it's kinda the equivalent of saying "Hitler was great!" in a Jewish Community Center.

tl;dr? FunnyJunk will never accept ponies again. You wanna talk about MLP? Go to /mlp/ on 4chan.
