No one would' believed
in the last years of the 19th century
that Pony affairs were being watched
from the
of space
No one could' dreamed
that we were being scrutinized
as someone with a microscope
y studies creatures
that swarm
and multiply
in a drop
of water
of life on other planets
And yet
across the gulf of space
minds immeasurably superior to ours
regarded Equestria with envious eyes
And slowley...
And surely...
They drew their plans against us

A Changleing's primary ability is to take the form of another, your statement is that their mind is superior to ours. I've then said that they can't copy properly, the changelings thus implying that their mind is inferior to Pinkie's cause she is able to make a superior copy of herself.
Was never insulting your spelling.

I believe this to be a quote from the book "The War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells.
"No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm adn multiply in a drop of water. With infiinite complacency men went to and fro over this globe about their little affairs, serene in their assurance of their empire over matter. It is possible that the infusoria under the miroscope do the same. No one gave a thought to the older worlds of space as sources of human danger, or thought of them only to dismiss the idea of life upon them as impossible or improbable. It is curious to recall some of the mental habits of those departed days. At most, terrestrial men fancied there might be other men upon Mars, perhaps inferior to themselves and ready to welcome a missionary enterprise. Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us." - H.G. Wells, The War of the Worlds, Chapter 1, Page 11, New York Review Books Edition

Indeed, the very title of this image reflects the truth of my statement.

How is this relevant to my comment?
Also, you've never made a statement.

It's relevant because you believe that the Changling's minds are not superior to "ours" and cited the fact that they could not morph properly as evidence. My comment is based on the fact that, even if we treat your opinion as truth, there is nothing this gentleman could have done to change what H.G. Wells originally quoted. They may not have minds that are superior to ours but if he had omitted that section of the quote, the impact of his words would have been greatly lessened. The opinion section of this argument is irrelevant in light of what the quote was talking about. Also there is no proof that morphing is a matter of brainpower. It could be much more related to physical properties or ability to use magic.
