October 10th, the day the show first aired. I feel complete inside knowing I share my birthday with my favorite show's birthday.

I decided to read that thing just to see what all the hype was about. I had to stop half way through. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against MLP--in fact I've defended it on a number of occasions--but I just couldn't stand that story. Here's why: 1) I never liked fanfics in the first place, just as a general rule. 2) The main character seemed so tragically desperate. He was obviously severely depressed--his parents were dead, he had a **** life, etc. If I were to make a chip-truth conclusion, it would be that the guy had been watching MLP as a form of escapism, but as he fell deeper into depression his brain invented the little Rainbow Dash in order to cheer himself up and prevent him from going suicidal. It gave his mind something to care about, something to be happy about, something to motivate him through the day. This imaginary friend that his brain created was simply a survival tactic.

I just think the story would have been more convincing if the guy hadn't already been obsessed with the show. But that's just my opinion.
