Actually you're kinda right, Big Macintosh - although having the name, he works hard, efficient, cheap to have and an excellent addition to a farm (home - you need a gamer pc that works) whereas Princess Celestia is a high-end royal pony which seems to do alot of predetermined tasks which you cannot alter or say, hey I want apples, care to pick some? so I see your thought but the name from Big Mac is what makes him Mac and Princess Celesita (PC) is well.. PC?
