I did it with my bare hands on normal and won... I still hate starting in deserts though. Never could do it on MP though.

i havent played on anything but hardmode for quite sometime, its boring otherwise. and i agree completely, i hate desert biomes

The only reason I do not play on hardcore, is that everytime I do, I end up dieing because of starvation. The reason being that no cows, pigs, spiders, or even zombies spawn near me. And then crops take to long to grow, plus apples never drop for me. Then the game goes like the picture says.

it isnt that hard, find a spot near water, find water and youre ok, all my buildings and such are near water and ive always done just swell, plus that keeps the endermen at bay
